Historia
God is change. That is the central truth of the Earthseed movement, whose unlikely prophet is 18-year-old Lauren Olamina. The young woman's diary entries tell the story of her life amid a violent 21st-century hell of walled neighborhoods and drug-crazed pyromaniacs - and reveal her evolving Earthseed philosophy. Against a backdrop of horror emerges a message of hope: if we are willing to embrace divine change, we will survive to fulfill our destiny among the stars.

Captivating

This book is enthralling. I am only sad in the fact that the book ended. It has been my true companion for the last couple of weeks during my morning walks. The characters, storylines and readings pulled me in and took me on a fascinating journey. I’m grateful for this book.

Historia
Alex Blum was a good kid, a popular high school hockey star from a tight-knit Colorado family. He had one goal in life: endure a brutally difficult selection program, become a US Army Ranger, and fight terrorists for his country. In the first hours of his final leave before deployment to Iraq, Alex was supposed to fly home to see his family and beloved girlfriend. Instead, he got into his car with two fellow soldiers and two strangers, drove to a local bank in Tacoma, and committed armed robbery....

Whining and Lying Former Ranger
Revisado: 10-07-17
I thought this book was above average. It became a little melodramatic at times but I was okay with that. I thought the main character, Alex Blum was more of a spoiled brat who lies to save himself from a well deserved and long prison term, grew tiresome. That is probably why the writer moved more to the wack job Sommer. I would recommend the book. It was entertaining to read how the privilege d burn through money to save their little darlings from the grasps of justice.
