A good positive history of Tesla
Revisado: 05-01-25
This is a good book if you want to learn all about Tesla and its history. I will say that it’s very informative but clearly has a very positive bias towards Tesla. That said, if you like Tesla you will likely enjoy this.

Historia
Over the course of two weeks, everything in Beartown will change. Two years have passed since the events that no one wants to think about. Everyone has tried to move on, but there’s something about this place that prevents it. The destruction caused by a ferocious late-summer storm reignites the old rivalry between Beartown and the neighboring town of Hed, a rivalry which has always been fought through their ice hockey teams. Maya Andersson and Benji Ovich, two young people who left in search of a better life, come home and joyfully reunite with their closest childhood friends.

Touching the heart
Revisado: 01-16-23
There are authors who write smart things that make you think. There are authors who write spellbinding stories that make you laugh, or make you cry. There are authors who describe things in a way that make you see the story so clearly, even when the lives that weave the tale aren’t so black-and-white. Fredrik Backman is all of these authors in one. I have loved all of his books, so much that I can’t tell you which is my favorite. I think that is because they tell pieces of the truth we all live or see others live, and speak to the heart of the reader, even if that reader does not live in a city that lives and dies by hockey or on the edge of a forest that holds secrets and truths. Fredrik Backman is a gift, and he shares that gift with all of us in this book.

Tiffy and Leon share an apartment. Tiffy and Leon have never met. After a bad breakup, Tiffy Moore needs a place to live. Fast. And cheap. But the apartments in her budget have her wondering if astonishingly colored mold on the walls counts as art. Desperation makes her open minded, so she answers an ad for a flatshare. Leon, a night shift worker, will take the apartment during the day, and Tiffy can have it nights and weekends. He'll only ever be there when she's at the office. In fact, they'll never even have to meet.

Heartwarming light read
Revisado: 03-25-21
This is a sweet story with quirky characters who you wish were your friends. If you are looking for something just plain enjoyable with some unique situations and a great dual-voice style, this is worth a listen. I liked both readers, and thought the tone of the story was just what I needed during this timeframe when deep and serious books are just too much to deal with - not that there aren’t a few serious topics contained in the story, but that they are handled such that the overall tone is as optimistic and resilient as the main character.
