Historia
Saguaro chronicles the life of rock legend Bobby Bird as he finds himself rolled up in barbiturates, at sea with satanic cults, finding true love, selling out, and coming back. Bird may be many things - a legend in pink cotton, a living history in tattoos, the very embodiment of rock and roll - but he isn’t a bad man. At least not all the time. He made his name as a crooner, revered as a singer with soul, a soul he quickly sold without ever considering the implications.

Historia
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

An essential if not definitive telling
Revisado: 08-07-18
Neil Gaiman's version of Norse Mythology makes no effort to be the definitive version of these tales, in fact, Gaiman himself says as much in his intro. He's not interested in doing such, nor does he see the point. Instead, this volume focuses on telling the tales in his own style. The audiobook version is particularly helpful with pronunciation of the uniquely tongue-twisting Norse names for people, places and things.
