I'm sad it's over but it was a fun ride.

Listening to this became a part of my day-to-day schedule; finding time and just listening helped me unwind at the end of my day. This story was truly excellent, and the narration by Courtney Shaw was amazing. I'm not sure what others think of the twist, but as someone who loves science fiction, I thought the concept was really cool. As always, the thing that truly makes me love this story is the characters. I'm going to miss Claire and Rae, but I'm so happy with how their story ended.

I didn't feel especially inclined to write a review for the first volume (mostly out of laziness), but this second volume absolutely blew my expectations out of the water! I was largely drawn to this series due to the LGBTQIA themes. I myself am bisexual, and few other novels in this genre resonate with me so strongly. While I likely would have continued reading due to this strength alone, what made me truly fall in love with this series was the character work and drama. Even some of my favorite novels failed to produce such a roller coaster of emotions, yet this kept me engaged from front to back. Overall, this volume served as an amazing conclusion to the first arc, and I'm excited to see what's in store next for Rae and Claire.
