Was so excited for a new Ms Roberts book! It wasn’t the caliber of Witness, Shelter in Place, True Betrayals or some of her other stellar accomplishments… entertaining though.
Also spoiled by the incredible January LaVoy spinning her magic on a few other books of NR books.
Mr. Damron was to me, absolutely fantastic with the male voices - but the female voices not so much. Maybe Nightwork could have had a sexy female narrator instead for the female roles?
Miranda as it is, sounds like a matronly bulldozer. As a character, pushy and very annoying.
Lastly come on my best friend in books Nora, why make the lead guy such a wimp?!
But I love you forever and ever, you’ve given me and so many others incredible, bountiful hours, days, years full of your amazing writings. Awaiting the next!
