I knew nothing about Zen so this lecture series was perfect. Clear, insightful and well organised in presentation of information. BUT also friendly and entertaining in performance. So rich with explanation, I will be listening to this series many times for years to come. Thank you Professor Davis, you have deepened by understanding and I have made some behavioural changes as a result :)

Great help for establishing an effective mindfulness practice

Part of a series written in an easy to understand manner by the author, that is also engaging to listen to thanks to the comforting voice of the narrator. I tend to repeatedly listen and practice in order to assimilate the instructions. The length may be short in listening duration but not in information. It has really helped my meditation practice and I think even if you are established in your practice it’s still good as a consolidated double check. I am most grateful to those who take the time to help the rest of us along. Thanks!

Brilliant material and engaging presentation

Highly recommend. I didn’t realise how many beliefs I held were in fact just myths. Learnt many interesting new things by a lecturer who was both entertaining and well versed in the topic. Since we all have a brain this is a must for everyone to get some insight on how it’s functioning affects us on many different levels. Simple language so you don’t have to know scientific jargon to listen.

GET the book!

Get educated and take control of your health. I enjoyed the narration as the author kept me engaged and gave some lightness to what can be an overwhelming subject. Also, a slower talking pace meant I could absorb the information which is extensive. I feel empowered and motivated to venture forth to loose the weight. If performance is going to stop you listening, then get a physical copy or have someone read it to you! Audio comes with a great PDF which I happily read on my tablet. You can save yourself so don’t let reviews on narration stop you. THANK YOU Michael and your team.

Great at filling in gaps from T.V series

Watched a season on Netflix that left me with lots of questions. This well researched book filled in the gaps and provided a lot more details I enjoyed immensely. Highly recommend as author is credible and involved in part, in the actual T.V series. Narrator also excellent at bringing the story alive as there is a lot of factual information. Hope there is a sequel one day as the saga continues and the intrigue mounts!

Wonderfully entertaining

I was pleased when this new series of stories was realised after the first collection. Having listened to the first series so many times and still enjoying them, it was great to add more Poirot to my collection. Highly recommend. I love having the stories in the background for company whilst I work. Can’t wait for the third collection! Totally love John Moffat’s portrayal - big fan. More please!!

Insightful and fulfilling

I only get to listen to an audio book whilst walking the dog. I found the book so fascinating and insightful that I was finding reasons to walk the dog more often. I enjoy leaning about quantum physics,but am not a history person. However the text was so cleverly written that I became captivated with the conversational style and getting a sense of who these personalities were. If you are into quantum physics, then you have to listen to this book to appreciate the historical struggle to make it accessible to us all. The narrator, Walter Dixon, does a great job of reading this title. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Insightful and highly enjoyable

You don't have to be a science nerd to enjoy this book. Yes it is full of jargon, but the author explains everything as simply as possible and the text is interspersed with insightful background stories of how the ideas/theories grew. Fascinating and in-depth I will have to listen to the book several times to fully appreciate some of the more complex theories. The audio reader is also 5 star and makes me feel I am listing to the author himself. If you liked the movie 'What the Bleep' you will also love this book.
