I’ve listened to several of Bonnie Traymore’s books. I’ve liked all of them but this was by far the best. It really kept me guessing and revealed things at just the right times. Now to go find another one!

Even better than the first book.

I enjoyed the continuation of Laura's story but the best part of the story was the introduction of Allie. I loved following along with her journey as a new entreprenuer and the mystery of what was happening around her kept me guessing until the end. If you read the first book in the series I highly recommend checking this one out. I think it would still be enjoyable even if you haven't read the first one.

Excellent story surrounding history

I have read so much historical fiction surrounding the Holocaust but this one was surprising. I had never heard of this particular set of events and Im so glad to now know about Carolyn Farraday and all of her work.

Fun and Keeps you Guessing

Narration was great and I enjoyed all of the twists throughout the story. Its a mystery but it felt more like a light read. If you’re tired of your typical beach reads and need something a little more meaty this does the trick.

I greatly enjoyed this book and it kept me guessing and wondering why on earth the main character would trust this "friend." The performances and the writing are both great and I couldn't wait to move on to Book 2 and hear more.

When I finished the first book in this series I couldn't figure out where else the story could go. I loved that this one picks up on what is a minor character in Book 1 and tells her story. Very well written and the performances are great.

So eye-opening and heartbreaking

I could not love this book more. I had heard things about CF but had no idea just what a horrific disease it is. Getting to get an inside view through years of Mallory’s life as well as get the perspective of friends and family was so valuable. I am amazed by what a fierce advocate her mother was. Thank you for sharing this story with us all.

Great twists and turns

Tough content but great story

I didn't really know what to expect with this one. The backstory of these characters is hard to hear but the way it's doled out in small bits as you get to know them made it easier to digest. At it's heart, it's a story of resilience. These characters struggle with A LOT of baggage but everything comes back to family love and commitment. Hearing about their long road to happiness is inspiring and I could not wait to find out what happens next. My only negative would be that the way the voice of Jacob is delivered always seemed angry, even when he wasn't expressing anger. That pulled me out of the story a few times. But otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
