Not a huge fan, Jacquelyn is INCREDIBLY juvenile, yes, she is only 17, but sometimes she acts like she is 10 with all the name- calling, the snarkiness and the constant childish sarcasm when she is upset. Her friend Jen is sex-crazy and got on my nerves by chapter 3. Fane comes across as so much more mature than Jacquelyn so much of the time that sometimes the book felt like it was a May-December romance instead of between 2 17 year olds. Why is it that wolf-shifyer romances are ALWAYS btwn late teenagers or college-aged people? Come on authors, be a little creative... older folks find live too.

This book could have been shortened by a good 9 hours! It droned on and on and on, was a boring story about an earl who goes to a Cyprian ball, deflowers a virgin in the gardens (Charlotte, it was not a rape as she explains). There is TOO MUCH thinking in this book as in hearing their thoughts, more than the dialogue. There is a scene where his wife is dying as she is giving birth, he needs to talk to her to get her to come out of her faint...instead of just starting to talk to her, we are given a good 5 minutes of his BROTHER'S conversation with another woman in another room, then we are treated to at least another 1-2 minutes of Alex saying to himself how much he loved her, never told her, on and on BEFORE he actually starts to speak to her!!! Dear God, just get on with the dialogue!

The narrator is not the best, Alex always sounds like is suffering from severe constipation whenever he is supposed to be earnest or aroused.

Bottomline, save your money or your credit and pass this one by.

God I hated this story! The heroine is a self-sacrificing jackass! She gets the guy of her dreams but gives him up because she feels the need to babysit her ADULT brother who is a star NFL player??!! Women like this are not heroines, they are bloody doormats and authors really need to stop trying to make their subservient, doormat selves into heroines!

This book EASILY could have been half as long! There is tii much time in the beginnibg spent showing how naively sound the heroine Hannah is, then far too much time spent after theseparation dealing with aforced desire to re-establish a friendship from childhood that has no connecting thread in the two adults. Then finally too much bloody internal Dialogue in Hannah's mind. Overall this book is too forced, too long, too dry...bypass for something worth your credit, I wish I had!!!

...Matthew Keyes as a narrator is OK when he does ONLY male voices. He has terrible female voices though! In this story, he made a group of early twenty-something women sound as though they were all in their early 70s!! Caitlyn (the heroine) speaks like a slow-witted dolt, Marian, who is Caitlyn's peer sounds as though she is a 75 year old matron, Samantha always sounds perulant and demanding. He also made Jonas (Marian's husband) sound too old, like he was her matronly match in age. I enjoyed the storyline, but Matthew Keyes was not on point for this narration!!

Her name is OLIVIA!!!! But the narrator calls her Olivy-ay...WTF?? One would have thought her sound editor would have caught that! Then, there are a few words she pronounces that showcase her natural accent (words with V's, some R's, etc.), and oh yes....she refers to him as a mar-QUESS....not "mar-quiss" as it is usually pronounced. I tried getting through the whole story, but btwn mar-QUESS, Olivy-ay and incorrectly rolled V's...I just couldn't take it, and gave up after 2 chapters!!!

What a shame!!!

She is 32 and acts LIKE A CHILD!! She goes around losing her temper at the drip of a hat, THROWING things, pinching the men's nipples as a way to punish them! Seriously??!! No offense, but this is a woman, if you can call her that, is looking for a fight! And if he called her "cute" one more time, I was going to hurl my dinner. I found myself skipping CHAPTERS to get to the end. Thank goodness I got this as part of the Audible Escape, had I used a credit, I would have been pissed. Many seem to like this book, but I personally prefer for my heroines to act like adults.

I didn't find either character to be great, plus Rana was a damned idiotic...any woman who would willingly continue living with someone (unrelated) who is smelling her clothing, and whom she feels is a creep just because she doesn't want the cause trouble is an ass. I usually like Penelope Ward...but this story needs to go to the trash heap and be burned.

Somewhere I'll Find You Audiolibro Por Lisa Kleypas arte de portada

Wow...if you truly enjoy Regencies...skip this one

Revisado: 01-02-18

First, the premise is not very realistic...a lady becomes an ACTRESS to skip her father's dictatorial ways, especially since he married her to a duke's heir as a child...yes...Julia/Jessica is a Marchioness...and is an actress...in Regency England!!!

Right...I thought it would at least be OK (like she had been kidnapped and did not know who she was, while he searches for her, etc.)...but the whole book is about whining-ass, stupid, naive Julia/Jessica avoiding her husband (who becomes a duke midway when his fatjer dies). Julia insists on wanting to REMAIN an actress, even after she is almost raped by a peer and his henchman!!! Is she that damned stupid?? She could be a duchess and patrionize the arts, instaed she prefers to expose herself to all manner of things as an actress and if you know your Regency history, actresses were no more than common whores back then.

Then, the coup d'etat - her husband (the duke) LETS HER CONTINUE ACTING AFTER SHE REMARRIES HIM!!! WTF?? What powerful, peer of the realm and a DUKE no less would have let his DUCHESS act in a common theater troupe??

Yeah...this one is a stinker and I found myself skipping whole CHAPTERS to get to the end of it!! Thank heaven, I got it on a 2-for-1 sale and did not pay actual cash for it (used a credit for the twofer)...cause this baby laid huge, smelly eggs upon download!!

So....this was very much a massive letdown considering all the raving 5 star reviews this book received! The heroine, Samantha, comes across as a selfish, spoiled brat with daddy issues, the hero, Elijah, is an idiotic guy with mommy issues. Somehow they fall for each other...smdh.

The book has A LOT of passages of their thoughts...which is aggravating, I want to read/hear dialogue, not pages of their thoughts.

Overall, I could not WAIT to get yo the end of this hot mess of a book.
