Delightful narration of classic creepy tales - 2

The classics (some of them)

Not my favorite ones except for Warning and The Mezzotint. The performance is very good but Jacobi gets some points off for his Oxfordism, which I find silly. Not fair but that’s what happens. I will say that Neighbors Landmark which I very much like was really well done.
I think that intrinsically it’s not possible to read these aloud with as much creepiness as you can induce reading these alone in a dim room by yourself without any voices near you.

Get ready for a deep dive

The political lead up to the Conservative era of the 80s and 90s is especially trenchantly told. As a sympathizer of the trade union movement I really appreciated this portrayal very much warts and all but also a great description of the almost impossible situation that all sides were struggling with.
