Historia
Stephen Munro, a demobbed army officer, reconciles himself to taking a job as a footman to make ends meet. Employed at Wintringham Hall, the delightful but decaying Sussex country residence of the elderly Lady Susan Carey, his first task entails welcoming her eccentric guests to a weekend house-party, at which her bombastic nephew—who recognises Stephen from his former life—decides that an after-dinner séance would be more entertaining than bridge. Then Cicely disappears!

Fun, lighthearted classic mystery
Revisado: 02-27-23
This was a fun listen. The characters are endearing, the plot is full of unexpected twists, and the overall tone is lighthearted. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes cozy mysteries.

Not my favorite Murder, She Wrote mystery
Revisado: 02-07-23
I love Jessica Fletcher in all of her iterations—I’ve seen every episode of the series multiple times and read a number of the novels. This one wasn’t my favorite. The mystery itself was convoluted, and so were Jessica’s actions. She didn’t seem to be a consistent character in this novel. The other characters in the book were not particularly likable either. This is not one I would recommend to those looking for the cheerful, sensible Jessica from the TV show.
