Historia
In Making Sense of the Bible, Adam Hamilton invites us into an honest conversation about the Bible. The book begins with foundational questions such as: How and when was the Bible written? Who decided which books made it into the scriptures and why? How literally must we read it? And, is the Bible ever wrong? From there, Hamilton considers the real questions people frequently ask that continue to divide Christians and denominations alike

Double talk?

It appears you repeat yourself as to only fill the pages yes it challenges me to reflect on what you are actually trying to say Studying the Bible has been difficult in many ways because we need to remember when the scripture was written and apply it to the situations today. What I have learned from the first reading is “mind your own business, let the scriptures speak to your heart, and pray that you’re following God’s two primary commandments. Historia
Eric Huffman, author of 40 Days of Doubt, helps listeners understand and cope with confusion about the Bible and provides answers to questions by reframing it as a perfect and seamless story. Huffman illustrates how the Bible, even the parts some consider ungodly, presents the beautiful story that God intended to tell. Through storytelling from his own experiences and his take on Bible stories, Huffman helps listeners understand the Bible by interpreting the entire book through the lens of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection.

Book of Ponder
Revisado: 07-18-21
Currently we are in discussion of this book. What appears to be sarcasm on the author’s stance is disturbing at times. Overall, it has made us research more Bible scripture. The topics are spot on as to the cliff we are about to go over and how our lives have changed over the last century.
