Historia
Piper is a lich-doctor, a physician who works among the dead, determining causes of death for the city guard's investigations. It's a peaceful, if solitary profession . . . until the day when he's called to the river to examine the latest in a series of mysterious bodies, mangled by some unknown force. Galen is a paladin of a dead god, lost to holiness and no longer entirely sane. He has long since given up on any hope of love. But when the two men and a brave gnole constable are drawn into the maze of the mysterious killer, it's Galen's job to protect Piper from the traps that await.

Rich world building and great characters
Revisado: 06-13-24
Great sequel to the clockwork boys.
Characters are funny, flawed and I wish there were more books with them in it and in this well developed world. It filled in blanks in the history from Swordheart (my favourite from this world)

Revisado: 06-08-24
Great story & once again brilliant audio by Zara.
Her voice is now what I hear in my mind when I’m reading the printed books.
I love the awkward romance between Grint and Lockland.

Having entertained the idea for years, and even offered a few questionable opportunities, I have decided to tell these stories just as I have always done, in my own voice. The joy that I have felt from chronicling these tales is not unlike listening back to a song that I’ve recorded and can’t wait to share with the world, or reading a primitive journal entry from a stained notebook, or even hearing my voice bounce between the Kiss posters on my wall as a child.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Great
Revisado: 05-11-21
Enjoyable story.
Ray porter did a great job (he just sounds like ray porter in the bobiverse) but accents other than American aren’t his strong point.
Worst NZ accent ever! (Sounds like a Australian and South African was shoved in a blender with all the wrong inflections)

Historia
The Time Police do not have problems. They have challenges. Idiots who want to change history have always proved 'challenging'. But now temporal tourism is on the rise - highly illegal but highly lucrative. If you're prepared to take the risk. To face down this threat the Time Police will despatch their toughest undercover agents. Which is fine until the unthinkable happens. Replacements are needed fast, and who better than three young officers who don't even look the part?

Team weird being weird as always
Revisado: 10-18-20
Just as Funny, entertaining and at times upsetting as the 1st.
They are the Time police and are utter bastards but really they see at times the true awfulness and selfishness of humans and somehow have to fix it or at least mitigate the damage.
Matthew holds a special place in my fictional character heart.
I think the trauma bonding of him being stolen while I had just had a newborn myself has left me wanting to know what what’s happening in his life now he could be? (No one really knows his age) a grown up.

Awful narration
Revisado: 06-27-19
Story was good but...
The narrator is just awful.
Inflection is all over the place and makes everything is a question. The different accents are equally grating.
It’s frankly bloody annoying and I can’t listen to it.
What happened to the original reader? She had a lovely easy to listen to voice.

Historia
A brand-new stand-alone novella in the Rivers of London series! Tobias Winter has been assigned to the Abteilung KDA - the Department for Complex and Unspecific Matters. Despite the intriguing department name, as Winter explains, dealing with the strange and the supernatural is 'actually 90 percent paperwork'. But this is a story about the other 10 percent of the job: the life-threatening danger part.

The German Peter Grant
Revisado: 06-15-19
It’s not Peter but Tobias has a similar voice.
The German folly has moved with the times and has a lot of paperwork, more likely to shoot centre mass than fireballs, genius loci distrusts them even more (with good reason!), it’s a good start to a new series.
Over all it was Enjoyable and I’m hoping there will eventually be cooperation between the Germans and Brit branches of the magical police.
