Eleanor Murray is tired. Tired of going on awkward dates. Tired of meeting men who just aren’t that into her. Tired of being set up on blind dates by her well-meaning friends. She is a believer of true love, of finding that happily ever after, and she wants it. She deserves it. But at the rate she’s going, she’s pretty sure it’s never going to happen. Until a friend creates a profile for Eleanor on a new dating app. At first, she’s reluctant. But then she makes a connection on Rate a Date, and this gorgeous, confident guy almost seems too good to be true....

Not Monica Murphy’s best
Revisado: 03-03-22
There is no character development. Weak story line. It almost seems that the relationship is abusive and built only in sex. I like a good sex scene, but that was all this was. Raunchy. I’ve like the other three books in the series, so this was a bit of a letdown.

With this book I can turn off my brain
Revisado: 04-21-15
This book enables me to step into the world of realistic characters. Often I listen to the book as I'm trying to go to sleep when 1000 other things are trying to penetrate my brain. I am able to disengage from the world and relax.

Historia
Elsie Bovary is a cow, and a pretty happy one at that—her long, lazy days are spent eating, napping, and chatting with her best friend, Mallory. One night, Elsie and Mallory sneak out of their pasture; but while Mallory is interested in flirting with the neighboring bulls, Elsie finds herself drawn to the farmhouse. Through the window, she sees the farmer's family gathered around a bright Box God—and what the Box God reveals about something called an "industrial meat farm" shakes Elsie's understanding of her world to its core.

A few humorous lines
Revisado: 04-09-15
Some funny one-liners and good for a thoughtless 'read', but the story was a bit basic. I wouldn't read this again.

Historia
Into a memoir that is gripping, funny, heartbreaking, and unforgettable, Walter Dean Myers richly weaves the details of his Harlem childhood in the 1940s and 1950s: a loving home life with his adopted parents, Bible school, street games, and the vitality of his neighborhood. Although Walter spent much of his time either getting into trouble or on the basketball court, secretly he was a voracious reader and an aspiring writer.

Tough times
Revisado: 01-30-12
What did you love best about Bad Boy?
The part I loved the most was that Myers never made excuses for the choices that he made. Rather he shares his regrets.
Would you recommend Bad Boy to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes I would recommend the book. It is an autobiography of famed writer who lived through the Civil Rights movement. He shares his struggles, but doesn't make excuses.
What about Joe Morton’s performance did you like?
He had nice phrasing, pace, & expression.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. It was difficult to follow at first.
Any additional comments?
I didn't like the random music that played at random points in the reading. It may have been better if it was played at the end of chapters instead.

Unique story line
Revisado: 01-23-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes psychological thrillers. It had a lot of pyscho-analysis of serial killers as well as dealing with inner demons.
Who was your favorite character and why?
John is very upfront about the demons that haunt him. In real life this is hard to find so I always appreciate it when I see (or hear it).
What about John Allen Nelson’s performance did you like?
Mr. Nelson was a good reader, but not the right person for this reading. The part of John, who is supposed to be a teenager, was way too mature.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Towards the end, John's mom tried to make an effort to make thier relationship better.
