Historia
Among the greats of 20th-century horror and fantasy, few names stand above Richard Matheson. Though known by many for novels like I Am Legend and his 16 Twilight Zone episodes, Matheson truly shines in his chilling, masterful short stories. Since his first story appeared in 1950, virtually every major writer of science fiction and fantasy has fallen under his influence, including Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Peter Straub, and Joe Hill, as well as filmmakers like Stephen Spielberg and J. J. Abrams.

What did you like best about The Fury and the Terror? What did you like least?
I honestly haven't finished this book yet. Not even close. I think I'm only 2 hours in, but the narrator is the WORST I've ever heard. I don't think I can go on. The story seems ok. I loved "The Fury,' but I really don't think I can listen to this sequel any more. I have 16+ hours to go, and the narrator seems almost robotic.
How could the performance have been better?
Hire someone else to read the book. Seriously, anyone else. After reading other reviews for books read by John Skinner, I can only assume that Audible was attempting to cut corners by having books read by computer. Seriously, the word "sophomore" was pronounced with an accent on the second "o."
Was The Fury and the Terror worth the listening time?
I have 16+ hours to go, and the narrator is so awful I don't think I can go on. UPDATE: I couldn't listen any longer, and Audible refunded my purchase.
