Historia
Death and reincarnation. Kuroe Makoto, the tomboyish ace of her high school track-and-field club, never spared a thought for these things before. However, when she falls asleep in her Tokyo home after an exhausting marathon and wakes up in a fantasy world, those concepts become her reality. Unlike common light novel settings, she isn't reincarnated as the naturally good-looking and talented human hero who gathers a harem effortlessly. In fact, she isn't reincarnated as a human at all. She is reborn as "Chaos", child of the demon queen and heir to a kingdom at war with humanity.

Interesting Start!

The story, characters, and pace were enjoyable! The smut happens towards the end, and even then I thought it was nice. Overall, I liked this and I’m hoping things grow better from here. :)

Historia
Farleigh is just an orphanage–at least, that's what the church would have the people believe. But beautiful orphans Nox and fae-touched Amaris know better. They are commodities for sale, available for purchase by the highest bidder. So when the madame of a notorious brothel in a far-off city offers a king's ransom to purchase Amaris, Nox ends up taking her place—while Amaris is drawn away to the mountains, home of mysterious assassins.

OK
Revisado: 10-06-24
The beginning was perfect! I loved the story of Nox and Amaris growing up in the orphanage, but everything after that fell off for me sadly. I wished the relationship between the two had been more developed after they split—particularly with Amaris. She puts Nox on the back burner, “in a box” where all the emotions and memories of her were kept so she couldn’t think about it, let it consume her, but it really felt like she just moved on from her, especially with her new family. She didn’t even go search for her, unlike Nox who was doing everything to reunite with Amaris (Nox is my favorite character). It was rather frustrating because I believed the whole crux of this story/series is Nox and Amaris—their love, their commitment to each other, but I only felt that from Nox (she deserved better). While I understand this is the first story of the series, the setup and everything, I just don’t find it worth continuing the series if it’s going to be like this. Amaris’ character just kinda killed it for me, Nox had me holding on to finish this story, had me hoping more from Amaris. What a shame because it started off really strong. Cheers if you like it though! It’s still an OK story, and I hope the other entries get better for everyone else! :)

Historia
Hoping to avoid a future where Menou dies trying to save Akari, the girl from Japan runs away with her sworn enemy, Momo. The pair ride the rails to a secluded village in the mountains where they believe they’ll be safe for a few days. Unfortunately, they’re not the only ones who decided to stop off there. Manon and Pandmonium have arrived as well, and they aren’t alone. Akari had hoped keeping away from Menou would be enough to spare the girl she holds dear, but keeping the Executioner alive may require a more drastic course of action.

Continued Greatness
Revisado: 09-20-24
I’m really glad I picked up these audible stories. The story has become so much deeper than I could have ever anticipated.
I’m excited and anxious for what’s yet to come for our cast of characters. :)
Shoutout to the narrator for continuing to do a great job. Keep it up and thank you!

Historia
Legends tell of a witch who became a queen—the heartless villain in the story of Snow White. But now the wicked queen is stepping out of Snow White’s shadow to become the heroine of her own legend. Her real “once upon a time” begins when she is just Ayleth, a young witch who lives in the forest with her coven. The witches practice their magic in secret, hiding from the White King and his brutal war against witchcraft. Ayleth, however, faces a war of her own.

Wicked
Revisado: 09-14-24
If you enjoyed Malice, you’ll enjoy this story!
I enjoyed Ayleth’s character as things unfolded (especially the end, muhahaha); also, her connection to Jacquetta was bittersweet and real. I loved the way the story progressed, everything felt natural, and I am now waiting patiently and excitedly for the sequel!
Narrator also did a really good job, very easy to listen to and distinguish different characters (always a plus when a narrator goes for different tones for other characters).
Good story, good characters, Heather Walter has become one of my favorite authors now. :)

Another great part in the series. I love the comedy and events that follow our main characters. I’m curious how the story will unfold next.
Keep up the work, author! And shoutout to the narrator! Amazing performances (I greatly appreciate it when the narrator provides different voices for different characters. Always a plus for me).

The Lily and the Crown is a lesbian scifi romance about daring to risk your heart with someone you shouldn’t. Ariana “Ari” Geiker lives an isolated life on an imperial space station commanded by her father. Her nameless slave is watchful, intelligent, dangerous, and sexy, and seems to know an awful lot about tactics, star charts, and the dread, marauding pirate queen, Mir. What happens when the slave also reveals an expertise in seduction to her innocent mistress?

Pacing was great, characters were amazing. Everything felt smooth and natural, nothing too drawn or forced. I can’t find a single that I would change. Felt like a perfect story.

Love
Revisado: 03-23-24
I love this series. I’ve had my gripes with both Alice, Aurora, and certain events in the story; how things played out, how I wished different words were uttered, but, ultimately, I’m happy with how things ended. The culmination of everything, especially Alice’s decision in the end.
The author did a great job, although, as another review expressed, I could’ve handled less, “Dragon’s Teeth.” Haha. I mean that in good heart.
Thank you to the author, narrator, and everyone who brought this duology to the world.

Historia
Darla Edmunds has faced a lot of challenges in her 17 years: her dad died in a farming accident when she was 14, and her mother retreated into hyper-religiosity, leaving Darla to run the family farm almost single-handedly. But those struggles pale in comparison to the one she faces after the Yellowstone super-volcano erupts, plummeting the world - and Darla's small corner of Iowa - into a cataclysmic natural disaster.
