For Sarah, a 20-year-old college dropout, it’s an early morning serving donuts and coffee to commuters at North Station. I usually don't listen to the reviewers but.....
Revisado: 10-06-23
This book was just...bad. I believe Jeremy Robinson to be very talented and R.C. Bray is an awesome narrator, but the book was just horrid. I am not even going to finish it. I tried, I really did, but the concepts were just dumb and not even remotely plausible. Robinson can get way out there with his ideas but this one was underdeveloped and not even in the realm of possibility. The character development of the kids was way to fast and went from 1 to demon slayer in just a few chapters. Look at me I can twirl a minivan on my pinkie like a basketball. Really?? I agree with the other readers. This book was definitely worse than Flux and I barely got through that one. Moving on...

Is Indeed Twisted....
Revisado: 09-12-23
This story is both twisted and heartbreaking, But definitely worth the read. Toward the end I could kind of see what was coming but the story still made me want to stay to the end to see what the final conclusion was. Would recommend.

Surprising...
Revisado: 09-01-21
I was skeptical that I was going to like this book due to the “oracle” premise but it surprised me. It is well written and Joshua brings the characters to life. By a few chapters in I needed to know what was next. This book has a way of drawing you in and keeping you interested. There are parts that made me cringe, but no worse than an episode of Criminal Minds would. Overall good read.

WHOAH--Didn't expect that!
Revisado: 12-14-20
I almost did not buy this one because its not really my thing, but I am glad I did. The male voice was a little on the whiney side but both narrators did a good job pulling you into the story. I agree with the other readers that this book is a slow burn, but its not the typical love story either. Once you get to the ending you will understand my heading.

Historia
Gavin Faulkner was the only doctor in the small South Carolina inner coastal town of Shadows Landing. He was used to patching up everything from fishing lures stuck in skin to gator bites. Nothing could surprise him anymore - except when he found an unconscious woman partially submerged near his dock after a fierce thunderstorm. Ellery St. John’s last memory was of a bat swinging toward her head. The next thing she knew, she was cold, wet, and a sexy man was pressing his lips to hers. Too bad it turned out to be CPR instead of a passionate kiss.

Just Needed More...
Revisado: 05-16-20
This is my fist time reading a Kathleen Brooks novel. The synopsis was interesting but once i got into the book i was kind of disappointed. If you are used to reading fantasy novels this book will seem like a let down. The interactions between the characters were developed way too quickly and not based on much. The story line felt rushed and kind of unreal and unbelievable. Thinking about the book as a whole i had to ask myself, "could this ever happen like this", and i just could not see it. I did enjoy the comedy and adore Eric Dove. The narration is probably what got me through to the end of the book.

They say love and hate are the same feelings experienced under different circumstances, and it's true. The man who comes to me in my dreams also haunts me in my nightmares. He is a brilliant lawyer. A skilled criminal. A beautiful liar. A bully and a savior, a monster and a lover. Ten years ago, he made me run away from the small town where we lived. Now, he came for me in New York, and he isn't leaving until he takes me with him.

Good Book but OMG the language.

Any additional comments?
The story was actually interesting but if you shy away from books riddled with the F word, the D word, and the C word, then this is not the book for you. Sometimes it was hard to get through simply due to the language. I will not be continuing with this series or any other book from this author if that is what i have to look forward to. It really took away from the story line. But the narrators were good and fit the characters well.

Kind of Dissapointed
Revisado: 01-09-18
Any additional comments?
I was a little upset to learn by the end of chapter one that this book is a replica of the last book but from the main male characters perspective. If you didn't read the last book you would be completely lost as there were many gaps in the story line that you would not understand unless you read the previous book. I enjoyed this book more than I did the previous book however, i believe it would have been more enjoyable and worth the wait on the ending if both perspectives were explained in the same book.

Interesting story
Revisado: 01-09-18
Any additional comments?
This book was the most enjoyable out of all of them though it did leave me wanting more description, character development and more struggles. This book was very quiet in comparison to the others with a interesting concept for the story line. As you read through the other books you get to know who and what Rolland is but the way that he was portrayed in this book seemed lacking his usual flirty flair. The love affair between Sarah and her beau was fiery, often explosive and extremely passionate not to mention emotionally draining to the reader while the development of the bond between Rolland and Emma in this book lacked the intensity the authors readers have come to expect.
