Historia
Our government organizations face political fallout, media scrutiny, reduced funding, and the many challenges involved in motivating large, multi-layered and highly regulated organizations. It's no surprise that many government organizations report that their employees are less engaged than ever and that leaders feel helpless to change the situation. In many cases, employees and government leaders are caught in a vicious cycle. Performance declines, scrutiny increases, and employee paralysis ensues. How do you break this cycle and begin building successful government?

Rough but worth it?
Revisado: 11-26-22
The information is solid, practical, and laid out in a way that makes it clear how you can apply it. The deliver in the audible format was terrible. Repetitive and monotone, I would have abandoned the book long before the end of I was committed to internalizing the content. do yourself a favor and read the actual book. It's a much better way to engage with this important information.

Wonderful!
Revisado: 04-03-21
The book is, of course, amazing! I read it many years ago but wanted a refresh and thought I'd try the audio. I'm glad I did. The performance by Scott Brick is spectacular! He brings the story to life perhaps better than my imagination!! He is truly one of the worlds great orators.

It’s everywhere and in everything and to consciously resist it is a choice. The choice to better yourself and propel yourself forward and achieve your goals. But resistance is hard. It’s much easier to go with the flow. To give in and give up and let temptation envelop you. The problem is temptation tends take you places you don’t want to go or leave you with regret. So, if you want to avoid these setbacks there are two essential tools you needed. They are self-discipline and willpower. They create the habit and mindset changes for long-term success.

DO NOT BUY!!!

Terrible book full of platitudes with no substance. Very hard to listen to. Many of the words and sentences don't even sound like English. If I could return it and get my credit back I would.

Historia
The culture of “safety” and its intolerance of opposing viewpoints has left many young people anxious and unprepared for adult life. Lukianoff and Haidt offer a comprehensive set of reforms that will strengthen young people and institutions, allowing us all to reap the benefits of diversity, including viewpoint diversity. This is a book for anyone who is confused by what’s happening on college campuses today, or has children, or is concerned about the growing inability of Americans to live and work and cooperate across party lines.

The Real Way to Make America Great Again
Revisado: 02-11-21
Quite possibly the best analysis I've heard of some of the major challenges facing this country and the western world as well as the proposal of realistic and effective solutions. This should be a standard textbook for highschool and first year college students and a policy manual for university presidents, administrators, and faculty. I've listened to it then bought the hardcopy for myself and a few of my friends. Right, left, or center, this book will enlighten you.

As it was then, so it is today.

I began listening to learn more about the mind of the men who lived in the age of revolutions in America and France. I was surprised to find the topics addressed are no less poignant today. We live in a day when ideas such as those presented here must rise up and sieze the national imagination.
