Enjoyed this audiobook
Revisado: 09-27-23
So refreshing! I am sick of being beat over the head with books that use cursing, God's name in vain, social and political rants, etc. This was really enjoyable. I really appreciated her mentioning still liking people even though they voted differently than you voted. That is maturity and true caring. Great work Julie!

Historia
Lucas Goodgame lives in Majestic, Pennsylvania, a quaint suburb that has been torn apart by a recent tragedy. Everyone in Majestic sees Lucas as a hero—everyone, that is, except Lucas himself. Insisting that his deceased wife, Darcy, visits him every night in the form of an angel, Lucas spends his time writing letters to his former Jungian analyst Karl. It is only when Eli, an 18-year-old young man whom the community has ostracized, begins camping out in Lucas’s backyard that an unlikely alliance takes shape and the two begin a journey to heal their neighbors and themselves.

Very intense
Revisado: 11-05-22
This is a very serious and intense subject matter. I was drawn in and finished in two sittings. I felt the emotion and wanted to cry at the end although the ending was positive. A powerful listen that will carry with you for days. Most of us will never live through such a horrific situation and see the death of loved ones in this manner thankfully. I can’t see how anyone would ever be normal again. Wow.

Ok audio book
Revisado: 08-25-21
I liked this book but didn’t love it. I think it was way too long otherwise would have rated higher. Similar content to movies I’ve seen in the past. I will not re listen or recommend but not asking for credit refund either.

Historia
Multiverse travel is finally possible, but there’s just one catch: No one can visit a world where their counterpart is still alive. Enter Cara, whose parallel selves happen to be exceptionally good at dying—from disease, turf wars, or vendettas they couldn’t outrun. Cara’s life has been cut short on 372 worlds in total. On this dystopian Earth, however, Cara has survived. Identified as an outlier and therefore a perfect candidate for multiverse travel, Cara is plucked from the dirt of the wastelands.

Excellent audiobook
Revisado: 02-07-20
Excellent! This girl had a really difficult time at age 14 but through circumstance, things get better for her. This book makes me feel fortunate to be born in the place and time where I had opportunity and didn't suffer the things this girl did. She stayed positive and grateful and always looked to the future. This shows for some, adverse beginnings can make a person stronger and more persistent in making a better future. I highly recommend this book for anyone. 5 stars! The only thing is I had to listen at a lower speed than usual for me and do some rewinds. My ear is not good with certain accents.

Historia
Learn to find and play the role God wants most for you to play, not the ones you feel pressured into playing for the sake of others or even our sense of accomplishment and worth. Most of us spend a lot of our lives figuring out when to say yes and when to say no. How to manage our time, reduce stress, do our best for our families, find a little space for "me". But we don't find space for our souls until we learn to step past the yes and no of daily decisions and seek a third option: the best yes. The best yes is the choice that shapes all our other choices.

For women who are moms
Revisado: 01-30-20
This was good but lots of general information, no earth shattering aha moments. Geared towards women who are moms. I am a woman, child free by choice so didn’t t totally relate. Also I’m very capable of boundaries and saying no so nothing learned there. The writer is Christian (I am too) so principles are faith based. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone I know but the book isn’t bad.

Historia
Emily knew there would be strings attached when she relocated to the small town of Willow Creek, Maryland, for the summer to help her sister recover from an accident, but who could anticipate getting roped into volunteering for the local Renaissance Faire alongside her teenaged niece? Or that the irritating and inscrutable schoolteacher in charge of the volunteers would be so annoying that she finds it impossible to stop thinking about him?

Good
Revisado: 09-03-19
This is the story of boy chasing girl chasing boy the whole book with a bit of pride, hard to get, misunderstanding and lack of self confidence. I rated a 3. Story good but not great. Seems this one has been done before. Overall a love story, pans out nice in the end. Very easy and simple read. No hard thinking on this one. No major story line. If you want a kind of cute no brainer read, this is fine. If you want more depth, move on. Overall I gained nothing reading this and would have been ok skipping this one.

I just kept waiting for this to be over. I increased the speed to 2.5 to finish faster. I listen to tons of books but books like this make my mind wander not keeping my attention very well. I listened to the whole book but would not recommend or listen to it again. I'm giving it a 3 because it wasn't really bad but wasn't really good either.
