T(12)’s review: I have been told since I was little that I have anxiety. Since I can remember. Because of that, I never really knew what it meant, just that hey, did you know this super rare thing that is nowhere near me is gonna be the cause of my death if the pirates don’t get me first?
Well, it’s not much of a surprise to end up having crippling anxiety when people can tell that you have anxiety at age 4.
I started getting panic attacks at age 8, where I was pulled into a whirlwind of trying to find therapists (yeah, that went really well) and being scared of being judged, which lead to more panic attacks, which lead to more fear of panic attacks, which lead to more… you get it. Everyone has anxiety, even though we don’t get mauled by bears and tigers anymore, but sometimes (like in my case), it’s… how should I put this.. VERY VERY EXTREME.
I started getting depressed around age 10 when I started to have realization of the fact that not everyone is cisgender or straight, and started to just… not want to be a kid anymore. Not in the normal way, but in the way that is I was being exposed to way too much way too fast, and then thought I was a boy and, hey, turns out my dad is transphobic (would’ve loved to know that before I told him).
This book just resonates so much with me that it’s kind of weird (Dan, could you stop spying on me, thanks?). I would recommend this book to anyone, struggling or not.
Bella(14)’s review: I always knew I was different. No, this is not some cheesy movie, but the fact that, what’s up, I’m a bit gay! I said a bit, shut up.
Anyway, from a young age, I would feel like certain things would “trigger” me. I don’t even know why I put quotation marks there, because they would trigger me. Talking about anything to do with my gender in particular sends me spiraling into a panic attack, even if I have never questioned the fact that I was a girl. Luckily (foreshadowing) my parents always got me and were like, “shit, is Bella a boy?”
No. No I’m not. You can’t choose what triggers you, so finding ways to fix it are perfect. This book is for anyone in the dark and anyone in the light, anyone in between.
Brody(9)’s review: im not like my siblings. I don’t feel like I’m falling or that I can’t get out of bed. I am scared of the dark, I have friends, and I hate chocolate. That’s it. But I listened to this book, and I get that sometimes I feel scared and I don’t feel like my siblings, but now I get them. When my little sister gets older, she should listen to this book. Everyone should.

Historia
Zero is just one of 20,000 people aboard a spaceship bound for a new planet set to be colonized. The journey is over a century long but luckily, everyone is in stasis, so they’ll be safe and sound asleep during the trip. Everyone that is, except for Zero, whose pod has malfunctioned, waking him up a hundred years early. His initial excitement in roaming the ship alone quickly turns to a heart-stopping interstellar adventure when a family of space pirates show up, trying to hijack the ship and take the colonizers hostage.

T’s review: My mom would always get new books for us to listen to on audible, and when she got this, I just—THIS BOOK IS AMAZING
I love the story, the characters, just everything.
When I (a 12-year-old girl) got my own audible account, this was one of the first things I downloaded.
Annabelle’s review: I love love LOVE this book! Our mum got it for T and she showed it to me and Brody. I listen to it every night and can’t wait till I have time to listen to Gordon Korman’s other books since I love this one so much!
Brody’s review: i really like this book. My sister let me listen (thx t) and IT IS SO GOOODPDFPFODODORO
And I’m only 9. My sisters are 12 and almost 14. We all love this book and t listens to it as she goes to sleep (which she does with all her fav books. I listen which her cause she had it on 50 billion volume on the top bunk llooooolll and I think Bella listens to it while she sleeps too)

I listened to one episode and got hooked, would totally recommend to anyone and everyone!!
Revisado: 06-15-21
As asexual demigirl, I am always looking for new LGBTQIA+ podcasts & books to listen to. I came across this the other day and got HOOKED. Me and my little brother started listening to this together. I then introduced it to my older sister (pansexual) and her partner (non-binary bisexual) and they have been bingeing it all night. I would 100% recommend it!!

Historia
From Steven Millhauser, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Martin Dressler and one of the most imaginative and essential voices of our time, comes a fable about a race of miniature people and the way of life they have come master within our own. By turns enchanting and provocative, The Little People explores the fascination and unease the little people create in us, examines our private desire to disappear into their world, and reveals what happens when our personal and romantic lives inevitably collide.

Had potential, just wasn’t good
Revisado: 02-09-21
I would guess it would be about the friendship of a little person and so,done who lived in the normal town, but all I got was an extremely boring story. No plot. Wouldn’t recommend.
It sounds like notes I write down to write a story, as I do, but these are even more dull.
