T.L. Routledge did a might fine job with his world
Revisado: 01-08-25
I really wish I could immerse myself in this world and fully experience life as it unfolds! Each element of the story captivates me; there's not a single stone turned that I wouldn’t want to explore, and every aspect has intrigued me in its own unique way!
The style of the narrative is modern, yet it carries subtle echoes of what has come before. It's a perfect blend that resonates with my sensibilities. When I read the physical copy previously, I realize now that I may have overlooked certain themes that the performance so vividly illuminated. It’s amazing how a different medium can uncover deeper layers of meaning, bringing the story to life in unexpected ways.
I encourage you to listen to this compelling story and fully indulge in the rich tapestry it offers! The nuances, the emotions, the characters—all come alive in a way that makes you feel like you’re part of the journey.
Tim, you truly did an outstanding job with this performance. Keep pushing those boundaries your hard work and talent shine through, making this experience all the more memorable. I can’t wait to see where you take us next!

Historia
It starts with the body of a Hollywood producer in the trunk of a Rolls-Royce, shot twice in the head at close range - what looks like "trunk music", a Mafia hit. But the LAPD's organized crime unit is curiously uninterested, and when Harry follows a trail of gambling debts to Las Vegas, the case suddenly becomes more complex - and much more personal.

Classic Bosch, but nothing new (not a bad thing)
Revisado: 05-01-24
Really love the narrator and his portrayal of Bosch as well as multiple other characters. To save y’all from spoilers please do not read further.
Characters turned out to be an FBI agent. I kind of lost interest in the story, but they regained it shortly after.
The portrayal of that character really I liked that lot

Historia
Working on the case, LAPD detective Harry Bosch is reminded of the primal police rule he learned long ago: Don't look for the facts, but the glue that holds them together. Soon Harry's making some very dangerous connections, starting with a dead cop and leading to a bloody string of murders that wind from Hollywood Boulevard to the back alleys south of the border.

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

This is my introduction, Andy Weir! Outstanding
Revisado: 03-14-23
I’m aware of other novels from Andy Weir and I hope they’re all just as good as this was.
Very few books from audible, make me smile, laugh and understand what suspense is. I truly enjoyed this book and I feel is there a five out of five or in this case a 15 out of 15 does not quite constitute how wonderful of a story this was thank you audible for the performance thank you Mr Weir for the story and the emotions projected

Historia
In the first book of this brilliant series, Stephen King introduces listeners to one of his most powerful creations: Roland of Gilead, The Last Gunslinger. He is a haunting figure, a loner on a spellbinding journey into good and evil. In his desolate world, which frighteningly mirrors our own, Roland tracks The Man in Black, encounters an enticing woman named Alice, and begins a friendship with the boy from New York named Jake.

On the world called Hyperion, beyond the law of the Hegemony of Man, there waits the creature called the Shrike. There are those who worship it. There are those who fear it. And there are those who have vowed to destroy it. In the Valley of the Time Tombs, where huge, brooding structures move backward through time, the Shrike waits for them all.

Revisado: 01-24-23
I had several friends and constituents recommend me to this book. It was well written and VERY WELL performed. The performance alone is worth the listen, however I found the story to be missing something for me. I’m 1 hour post finishing this novel and I can’t determine what is missing.
Even with the missing piece the story was fun and engaging! Please look at my rating with my complaints and understand this book is worth it.

Historia
Jack Torrance's new job at the Overlook Hotel is the perfect chance for a fresh start. As the off-season caretaker at the atmospheric old hotel, he'll have plenty of time to spend reconnecting with his family and working on his writing. But as the harsh winter weather sets in, the idyllic location feels ever more remote...and more sinister. And the only one to notice the strange and terrible forces gathering around the Overlook is Danny Torrance, a uniquely gifted five-year-old.

This was one of my first reads growing up and my experience of course has changed from then to now. This book and audio performance are on a different scale. The book is timeless but it’s almost like it was meant to be told to you not read.
