Historia
Businesses everywhere are plagued by managers who seem to think that keeping their staff miserable is the best way to deliver profits. This is a failure of leadership that also hurts the bottom line; research has shown that maintaining a happy, engaged workforce consistently drives measurably better business results across the board. In When They Win, You Win, Russ Laraway, the Chief People Officer at Qualtrics, provides a simple, coherent, and complete leadership standard that teaches organizational planners and managers how to develop incredible levels of employee engagement.

No Original Ideas Here
Revisado: 12-31-24
Mostly a book for the author to brag - often with outlandish or irrelevant claims. The context is purely large company software development with stable enterprise clients - something the author doesn’t denote.
There are much better books that cover the few nuggets you’ll find buried here with better content and delivery.
Read this book as a necessity for a colleague - the hard copy will be donated to goodwill.

Historia
Bankers, philanthropists, scholars, socialites, artists, and politicians, the Warburgs stood at the pinnacle of German (and, later, German American) Jewry. They forged economic dynasties, built mansions and estates, assembled libraries, endowed charities, and advised a German kaiser and two American presidents. But their very success made the Warburgs lightning rods for anti-Semitism, and their sense of patriotism became increasingly dangerous in a Germany that had declared Jews the enemy.

Terrible Narration
Revisado: 12-31-24
The narration is too bad to ignore - continuous mispronunciation of simple terms and names. I couldn’t finish the book even in small doses over weeks.

Disappointing - Impossible to Follow The Story
Revisado: 12-10-24
I enjoyed Brett Battles first forays into continuing Stuart Woods stories, but this book is very hard to follow. Strangely, even with the same narrator - the characters don’t sound like they have in the past.

If better written, Lise's life story would be fascinating. The author presents her motivations in ways that don't make any sense. It became unreadable quickly.
