Historia
Widely respected as a civil libertarian, legal educator, and defense attorney extraordinaire, Alan M. Dershowitz has also been a passionate though not uncritical supporter of Israel. In this audiobook, he presents an ardent defense of Israel's rights, supported by indisputable evidence. Dershowitz takes a close look at what Israel's accusers and detractors are saying about this war-torn country. He accuses those who attack Israel of international bigotry and backs up his argument with hard facts.

Very insightful-holds true today.
Revisado: 04-14-24
Dershowitz does a great job enumerating the arguments for and against Israel, and by extension, the Jews. It’s uncanny how it describes the situation to that continues to this day.

Meaningful beyond the story itself
Revisado: 11-02-22
Jocko does a nice job of connecting dots — dots that matter. Loyalty, love and friendship.
He also does a nice job of illustrating how our choices — good and bad ones — have consequences.
Enjoyable, touching, heartwarming and sad. A good listen from a gentleman who puts his heart into the storyline.

Historia
On a freezing February day, a stranger emerges from out of the gray to request a room at a local provincial inn. Who is this out-of-season traveler? More confounding is the thick mask of bandages obscuring his face. Why does he disguise himself in this manner and keep himself hidden away in his room? Aroused by trepidation and curiosity, the local villagers bring it upon themselves to find the answers.

Not my thing.

Nothing wrong with the performance or writing. It just isn’t my type of story. I got through it though.

Historia
After the death of her husband, Bella Jordan and her son need a fresh start. But on their way to stay with family in Chicago, they stop in Lily Dale, New York, and a storm forces them to spend the night. Brimming with kooky psychics and mediums, Lily Dale is just the kind of quirky little town Bella's late husband always talked about settling down in. So when the local hotelier, Leona, passes away, Bella agrees to step in and help temporarily. The longer she and Max stay there, the more Lily Dale starts to feel like home.

Can’t handle the narrator
Revisado: 03-19-21
Because of the way the narrator read with too much incongruous enthusiasm, I had to turn it off within a few minutes. I thought it was starting as a newscast; I was waiting for her to start speaking normally, but it didn’t happen. I just listened to two of this author’s other books, so I was looking forward to this one. I just can’t handle it.
