The only thing better than reading Kingdom Fall is listening to the Audible! Narrators Stefanie Kay and Gideon Frost do a great job of bringing Alessio & Natalia to life. I loved every minute if it!

Kingdom Fall is everything! It is raw, passionate, and intense! I loved everything about it! Ashleigh Zavarelli really outdid herself!

Alessio Scarrcello, a “Sovereign Son” and part of the secret “Society.” A powerful and secretive organization with their own hierarchy, rules, and expectations. There are two sides of him – the dark side and the softer side. He keeps his emotions close to his heart. He has many reasons for a closed heart. He is a bit of a loner and likes control. Alessio’s search for a nanny leads him to Natalia Caberra. She is awkward, yet alluring and mysterious.

“Love wasn’t really love. It was just a precursor to pain.”

There is an emotional battle going on between Alessio and Natalia. The sexual tension between them is off the charts. You can feel his need for her jumping off of the pages. He is unraveling. Caught between want and need. Going against all of his self-set limits and expectations. They have great chemistry, and his thoughts can be hilarious at times. She is filled with strength, love, and patience. I loved both of them so hard!

“He’s not my savior. He’s my enemy.”

The writing is amazing! I could have easily read it in one sitting. There are twists, turns and “Oh No!” moments. It is dark. It is romantic. It is mafia. It will pull you in and pull you under. Each new book written by Ashleigh Zavarelli surpasses the previous one. Her writing just gets better and better. Now, I NEED Angelo and Abella's story!

Personal assistant Vanessa Mazur knows what it takes to maintain Aiden Graves, the "Wall of Winnipeg." He is regimented and a man of few words. But Vanessa has other plans for her life. After executing her plans, Aiden returns and makes her an offer she can't refuse.

"Being an assistant/housekeeper/fairy godmother to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary."

A well developed slow burn love story. It was a long listen but it kept my attention. The characters have a wide range of emotions. They are fun and funny, serious and flawed. Narrator Callie Dalton did a great job of bringing Vanessa to life. The story of two broken souls fusing together. Worth the wait at the end!

A great Audible listen! Loved the story, the twist, the misunderstandings. A steady flowing story that kept me engaged, made me laugh and had a few "oh no!" moments. I love how there was a process and not a sudden magical fix for Griffin! Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan did a great job in bringing Griffin & Luca to life!

Narrators Andi Arndi and Zachary Webber do an amazing job bringing Emma and Finn to life. I had many moments of laughter and some of sadness.

A childhood tragedy has caused Emma McKallister to swear off marriage and children. She is regimented with tight control over her schedule and emotions. No one can be more opposite than Finn Perry. He is fun, fearless and laid back. He takes all that life throws at him and makes the best of it.

Emma and Finns story was full of laugh-out-loud moments. Emma's story goes back and forth between the past and present giving you the picture of what caused her to become the woman she is today. My heart raced and I cringed at times at some of the circumstances that she had to endure. Finn is amazing! He is so patient and loving.

I both loved and hated this story, mainly because it brought out emotions and angst in me.

On to the next installment: Cake: The Newlyweds!

I enjoyed listening to the Audible. I was disappointed in the story. The first 10 chapters were a rehash of "Cake". Also the beginning of the reality show was a bit drawn out. There were touching moments and funny ones as well. I may not have finished if the narration been by anyone else. I really enjoyed narrators Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt.

Kyle McKallister is the younger brother of Rock Star Jake McKallister. He is never taken seriously. He and Jake share a tragedy that occured in their youth. Kyle is looking for direction and purpose. He has an opportunity to compete on the reality show "Marooned" and feels it is just what he needs to get away. Kyle meets small town girl Kenzie Williams and they form a friendship. But what happens when they are off of the island?

"He was fearless, and a rebel, and a sinner, and a saint."

LJ Shen has turned her book world upside down! The Hunter is a crossover of sorts. Hunter Fitzpatrick is featured in the All Saints High series and Sailor Brennan is the daughter of Sparrow and Troy Brennan from Shen’s “Sparrow.”

Hunter and Sailor are thrown together for many reasons. Some are known and others are revealed later. Their story is layered with dreams, aspirations, promises and heartbreak. I love Sailor’s character. Her heart is pure and genuine. Her relationship with her family is beautiful. And yet she still has fears and anxieties.

Hunter did not whisk me away as I thought he would. I loved watching him grow and learning about his doubts and insecurities. His intelligence is skimmed over. I wished that he would have opened his heart sooner in the story.

"He was a lonely prince—untouchable, yet in need of a hug. Brilliant, yet deeply misunderstood. Sitting on a throne of broken expectations and disappointment."

Overall I enjoyed The Hunter and look forward to the next in the Boston Belles series. LJ Shen has left us with some delicious crumbs to tease us! Who will it be????

"She was the princess in the ivory tower, and he was the punk who was going to steal and corrupt her on his lunch break from setting the world on fire."

Narrator Virginia Rose and Jason Clarke did an amazing job with bringing Hunter and Sailor to life. I loved Sailor's Boston accent!

WOW WOW WOW! Colleen Hoover is amazing! She has once again flexed her writing muscles to bring us Regretting You. Although it is a YA novel it is definitely written for the more mature audience. There are so many "old school" vibes! The writing style of Regretting You has all of the "feels" and the flow that were found in her early books like Hopeless, Slammed, & Point of Retreat.

Regretting You is about love, loss and circumstances. It is told from the perspective of mother & daughter; Morgan and Clara. Colleen Hoover delivers a 1~2 punch early, then a second round, with the fallout flowing through the remaining chapters.

"Morgan Grant and her sixteen-year-old daughter, Clara, would like nothing more than to be nothing alike."

Life was simple and predictable for Morgan Grant until the unimaginable occurs. Now she must move forward and make decisions that will be best for herself and her daughter. She is navigating life’s roadblocks while trying to protect Clara from devastating secrets and lies.

“You’re a sacrificer. I don’t even know if that’s a real word, but that’s what you are. You do things you don’t want to make life better for the people around you.”

With everything coming apart around her, Clara struggles to cope and process the truth as she believes it to be. This results in her whole world turning upside down. Resentment, betrayal, anger, and hatred all play pivotal roles in the choices that she makes. Morgan is desperate to keep Clara from repeating her own mistakes while keeping her happy memories in place.

I did not want to put Regretting You down and stayed up into the wee hours of the morning to finish it! It is thought provoking, heartfelt and brilliantly written. Although it revolves mainly around Morgan and Clara, there are other characters in play as well. They too are affected by the choices that are made and the consequences that follow.

I feel I must also give my disclaimer as I do with every Colleen Hoover book. All I can really say is: Go in “blind,” meaning don’t read reviews, don’t get caught up in the hype. Take your time and savor the words that are beautifully written. It will be emotional, but in the end it is worth it. Hold on tight because you are in for one hell of a ride. This allows greater enjoyment of the story.

“Sometimes you have to walk away from the fight in order to win it.”

Great narration by: Tanya Eby and Lauren Ezzo

Casey Caldwell is paired with the famously reserved musician Jake McKallister for a friend’s wedding. Casey is an amazing heroine. She is funny, kind and not afraid to say what she thinks. Jake is the quiet, reclusive rock God. His secrets run deep. Growing up with brothers has made Casey relate well with men. She is not starry eyed and fawning over Jake but is just being herself and enjoying the wedding. This takes Jake by surprise. He wants to get to know her but is fearful of intimacy. I love their journey!

Cake is well developed rock star romance. I enjoyed Casey and Jake's story. It was well written and tackled several sensitive subjects. It is emotional and heartfelt.

Narrators Andi Arndt and Joe Arden do a great job of bringing Casey and Jake alive!

I have heard so much about this book. As I listened I kept waiting for that moment. You know the one... The ah-ha moment. It didn't come. I started to feel impatient but then it just clicked. The story of life, love and living. Kate Sedgwick is a character who will grow on you and fill you until your heart bursts. He attitude, her mantra to "Do Epic" will stay will you long after the story has ended. Although the subject is mature, the feel and the language is more YA. But as the story progresses it really worms its way into your heart. I loved Kate's boldness and ability to let go. Especially enjoyable were her impromptu "dance parties"

Narrators Roger Wayne and Lidia Dornet do a great job of bringing Kate and Keller's story to life.

A perfect combination of sexy, dirty, fun and forbidden romance! I enjoyed Pike and Jordan's story of taboo love. The story is well rounded and full of hot steamy sex and emotional angst. I was really surprised and how much I enjoyed the book. I want to read it at some time in the future on my kindle!

Narrators Andrew Eiden, Jennifer Mack do a great job of telling Pike and Jordan's story.
