Just a recap of recent market events
Revisado: 09-13-24
A decent book, but nothing stood out that really captured me. Josh basically recounted his perception of recent market crashes and instilled faith that the market always rebounds. It’s okay for a listen or read but don’t expect to learn anything that you didn’t already know.

Historia
There’s a story about Rich Paul that everyone knows: A twenty-one-year-old kid from Cleveland who sells sports jerseys out of his car meets a high school basketball phenom named LeBron James at an airport—the two become friends and forge a decades-long partnership that reinvents the business of sports. That random meeting might seem like the lucky break that changed Paul’s life. But a moment of good fortune means nothing without the struggle that gets you there. And the truth is, Paul had always been lucky.

Nothing but Hustling
Revisado: 11-10-23
I was going to learn some valuable insights about Rich Paul and his sports agent business but the entire book was about him growing up as a drug dealer. Book didn’t go into much detail about his relationship with LeBron, his sports agency, or anything else that the reader can take away except how to shoot dice and sell drugs. I’m extremely disappointed…

Historia
In the predawn hours of March 4, 2002, just below the 10,000-foot peak of a mountain in eastern Afghanistan, a fierce battle raged. Outnumbered by Al Qaeda fighters, Air Force Combat Controller John Chapman and a handful of SEALs struggled to take the summit in a desperate bid to find a lost teammate. Chapman, leading the charge, was gravely wounded in the initial assault. Believing he was dead, his SEAL leader ordered a retreat. Chapman regained consciousness, alone with the enemy closing in on three sides, beginning the most difficult and exceptional fight of his life.

Great story poor editing
Revisado: 12-07-22
I enjoyed learning about Sergeant Chapman and his heroism on the battlefield. I wasn’t a fan of the layout of the book. Too much time was spent on telling the reader what it took to make it into the special forces. That was most of the book honestly. Then the last part of the book was about other people. So the smallest portion of the book was allocated to the actual mission at Takur Ghar. I feel like the writers or editors could have done a better job with the outline.

Revisado: 10-29-22
I enjoyed listening to this audio book more than any other since I’ve owned Audible. The President’s voice is calming to listen to. The best part was listening to the behind the scene stories about his trials and tribulations while in his first term. I highly recommend this audio book!

Good but not Great!
Revisado: 10-03-22
This was pretty much the autobiography of Eric Thomas. While it was nice to hear about his story from childhood to what he is today, I was left with a empty feeling like something was missing. This is not the typical get you pumped up or masterful motivational speech. It was simply an overview of ET’s life. Just know what you’re buying beforehand, that way you won’t be disappointed with this audio book.

Very dry and bland
Revisado: 08-24-22
I’ve heard a lot of praise about John Maxwell but this book didn’t live up to the hype. Unfortunately the best part of the book is the title. I didn’t learn anything that gave me a wow moment. Very uninspiring book in my opinion.

A little click-baity, beware!!!
Revisado: 08-17-22
I was a little disappointed to find out that most of the book was about the authors pitching their services and products to the listeners. Each speaker has a nice intro and hook, but ultimately it’s about getting you to buy the services that they specialize in.

Grant is a motivator not into the details
Revisado: 08-03-22
In my humble opinion Grant Cardone has a gift to motivate and inspire individuals to push through plateaus. My only gripe is that he’s not big on actual sales tactics or the nitty gritty details. He’s more of a, if you can think big and outside the box then you can achieve it kind of guy. So if you’re looking for specific ways to actually accomplish your goals then he’s not the author for you.

Just a book of definitions
Revisado: 07-21-22
I listened to the entire book waiting for a story or message that connects everything together but it never came. This book is literally just a compilation of definitions. Someone could go through and read a dictionary and get the same material that was in this book.
