Historia
When a suspect explodes mid-interrogation and his office is taken over by an intergalactic despot, undead detective Dan Deadman reckons he's finally hit rock bottom. Banished to a dangerous underground hostel network, Dan becomes embroiled in a mass-murder investigation that will take him from the bowels of Down Here to the depths of the ocean. An amazing performance and story
Revisado: 06-04-24
I really hope we get more Dan Deadman and Space Team novels. And I will definitely download anything written by Barry Hutchinson or narrated by Phil Thron. Both artists are at the top of their craft. I laughed out loud just sitting on my porch all by myself listening to this.

Historia
After saving the grim and gritty alien city of Down Here from something big, mean, and mind-bendingly horrible, Dan is looking forward to unwinding in the closest available bar. Annoyingly, the universe has other ideas. Instead, Dan finds himself investigating a cheating husband, two horrible murders, and the potential enslavement of everyone in the galaxy. With his caseload stretching his woefully limited detective skills, his car in pieces, and the whole "being dead" thing not doing him any favors, Dan has no choice but to ask his friends for help.

In an alien city torn apart by crooked cops and ruthless criminals, private detective Dan Deadman specializes in cases unusual and bizarre. After saving a mysterious young woman named Ollie from the clutches of something big, slimy, and unpleasant, Dan gets entangled in a missing child case.

Good story. Great performance.
Revisado: 02-09-24
RC Bray is an amazing voice actor. This performance is no exception. The story is a decent post-apocalyptic story, with interesting characters. And it's well-written and well-paced. I highly recommend listening to the series in order though; it will help your understanding of the settings.

This sounds like it may be the end of the series on Graphic Audio. I hope not, The writing, humor, production, everything is so enjoyable. If this is the end, I will definitely listen to this series over and over. Such a fun listen!

Historia
“The Heron” is the nickname a big-city accountant has attached to himself in his new home near San Diego, where he’s using the alias to avoid a hit man who may be after him. It seems a former client believes that The Heron has skipped town with several million dollars not his own. Don Winslow’s ensuing, entertaining yarn is by turns twisty, dark, and comical as we observe the delicate dance between the pursuer and the pursued.

Revisado: 11-04-22
I'm not sure why this is tagged with "dark comedy ". it's dark but it's not comical. it is, however, superbly written and just the right length for the story being told. It's a great way to kill (pun intended) two hours or so.

Historia
Jack Diller is just one more struggling actor on the road to nowhere. He’s got an agent who barely remembers his name, his ex-girlfriend has hooked up with a Silicon Valley dude, and the milk in his fridge is so far past its sell-by date it’s historic. The only way Jack can scrape together a bare existence is by delivering food to exactly the types of successful people he wishes he could be. Then, one day, a very strange audiobook shows up on his phone.

surprisingly awesome!
Revisado: 10-16-22
Wheaton and Perlman give a superb performance in a very well-written and humorous story. I genuinely felt bad for Jack because he's so relatable, yet very satirical at the same time. I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for a good, low-scifi listen.

Every disaster brings an opportunity. Goth Sullus and his empire have fallen. With the Legion and the rest of the galaxy watching from the still-smoldering galactic core, Carter, a former legionnaire turned private contractor, and Jack Bowie, a Navy spy with nowhere left to turn, sign up to work for an enterprising private contractor looking to make a statement on the planet Kublar. Plans are in motion dating back to the Savage Wars, and as the galaxy rushes to fill in the vacuum created by the fall of the Imperial Republic, the bodies are hitting the floor.

Great story and writing, and narration
Revisado: 07-16-22
While I liked RC Bray's narration better (he is a superb vocal actor), Porter does a very good job at voicing different characters and making them come alive. While this story is supposed to be the next chapter in the series, it doesn't have any of the same characters. Prisma, Wraith, Chuhn... none of them are in this book. It feels more like the start of a new series set in the same history as the first 5 books. While that was disappointing, it was still a great story with interesting characters, action, and plot.

What an amazing series!
Revisado: 06-30-22
There's nothing I can say about this book that I haven't already said about the previous books in the Galaxy's Edge series. This chapter brings an end to the tale of the Republic and Garth Sullis. And while many final chapters of other series (I'm looking at you, Star Wars) end up lacking, this one is masterfully and satisfactorily brought to a close. Brilliant storytelling and characterization. And RC Bray proves (once again) that he is one of the finest voice actors in the business.
This is a series I will come back to again and again, and enjoy it each time as much as the first.
