Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Not up to Gladwell's usual standards
Revisado: 04-10-20
I struggled to listen to this book, and I have been a pretty big fan of Gladwell's books. I gave up on it after a while. And nothing struck me as poignant or noteworthy. Disappointing.

Historia
Are you having trouble believing what the new self-proclaimed “experts” post on LinkedIn and beginning to question their proclamation that everything in sales has changed? The one constant in the world of sales is the noise from self-titled experts and thought leaders informing you of the latest tools, tricks, and strategies that you should utilize. However, ironically, the more modern solutions you adopt, the harder it is to get results. Mike Weinberg offers a wake-up call to salespeople and sales leaders on how to bypass the noise so you can start winning more new sales.

not really a useful sales book for me
Revisado: 01-13-20
I've read and listen to sales and marketing and personal development books for a long time now and I've never finished the book that by the end felt so useless. I can't think of anything in this book that I could really put to use in any kind of practical way. It was just generalizations and stuff about management and hiring and very little about sales skills and practical knowledge

In a world that thrives on competition and individual achievement, we’re measuring and pursuing potential incorrectly. Pursuing success in isolation—pushing others away as we push ourselves too hard—not only limits our potential but makes us more stressed and disconnected than ever.

Good book. Not the best reading voice.
Revisado: 07-03-18
I liked this book. I've listened to it twice. The narration isn't the best. I felt like I was being read to and his voice isn't the best for that. These authors should work more on reading conversationally. Maybe invest in some public speaking skills. It would help them convey the information in a way that people will absorb it better.
