Historia
Thirty-nine-year-old Rosi Laruee—named Rosisophia Doroche after her mother’s beloved Golden Girls—decides that the end of her twenty-year marriage and her dad’s impending knee replacement surgery are all the excuses she needs to visit Tucson Valley Retirement Community. But the drama follows Rosi when she finds the body of local tart and business owner, Salem Mansfield. The information she discovers using her newspaper reporter sleuthing skills coupled with the clues she picks up from lackluster Police Officer Dan Daniel lead to a surprise discovery when the murderer is revealed.

Rosi finds drama & new possibilities in this debut
Revisado: 02-13-24
Rosi Laruee's marriage is over so she's at loose ends. She decides she needs a break & goes to Arizona to visit her parents at the Tucson Valley Retirement Community. But Rosi soon finds herself involved in plenty of drama amongst her parents' social circle, including finding the body of unpopular used bookstore owner Salem Mansfield. Using her newspaper reporter skills, Rosi decides to help the incompetent police to find the killer. This was a fun debut mystery with an eclectic cast of characters, including a handsome landscaper and a Golden Retriever puppy named Barley.

Historia
Georgie, back home at her estate in Eynsleigh, impatiently awaits the birth of her baby. But she has plenty to occupy her: Her new chef, Pierre, has arrived from Paris, and Sir Hubert, who owns Eynsleigh, is back from his latest expedition. It's time for Georgie to throw her first house party to celebrate his return and show off her new chef. The dinner party is a smashing success. Sir Mortimer Mordred—famous author of creepy Gothic horror novels—is one of the guests. He recently purchased a nearby Elizabethan manor nearby because it has a famous poison garden.

Culinary hijinks for Georgie & her new French chef
Revisado: 02-04-24
Lady Georgie & Darcy are staying at Eynsleigh, awaiting the birth of their first child. She is also looking forward to fabulous meals cooked by her newly hired French chef Pierre. There are adjustments & growing pains for him as well as Georgie's stalwart employee Queenie but soon Georgie decides to host her first party to celebrate his return of Eynsleigh's owner and show off Pierre's stellar cooking skills. One of the guests, gothic horror author Sir Mortimer Mordred, has recently purchased a nearby Elizabethan manor and asks Georgie if he can borrow Pierre for his upcoming party.
The tour of Mortimer's poison garden is fascinating but the dinner goes awry when several of the guests become ill. After one guest dies, the coroner ID berries from the poison garden as the source and arrests Pierre for the murder. Georgie is determined to save Pierre from prison before the baby arrives. Her sleuthing is aided by another former guest, famed mystery author Agatha Christie!
This was a fun romp and read with some well-placed red herrings.
