Historia
Divorced from his own wife and carrying on halfheartedly with another man's, saddled with a bum knee and friends who make enemies redundant, Sully now has one new problem to cope with: a long-estranged son who is in imminent danger of following in his father's footsteps. With its uproarious humor and a heart that embraces humanity's follies as well as its triumphs, Nobody's Fool, from Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Richard Russo, is storytelling at its most generous. Nobody’s Fool was made into a movie starring Paul Newman, Bruce Willis, Jessica Tandy, and Melody Griffith.

Great performance of a great novel
Revisado: 10-13-22
It helped that I had watched the Movie before. The novel shows a deep understanding of human nature particular to an Upstate NY town. The performance so matched the characters. It had elements that I deeply connected with and it will be a novel and a movie that I anticipate that I will go back to several times in the future. There is however a psychological depth that is not fully explored. The repartee takes away from that possibility.

Immersive Experience
Revisado: 01-11-19
One felt like one was there in those crucial days of the American Revolution. Even keeled in its presentation of the people and events of the revolution. Like many of the books written before Ron Chernow’s Hamilton it needs to update itself on the contribution of this great American hero.

I had learned Julius Ceaser in HS so the script was well known. To see the words come alive was an awesome experience. It was also a testament to my emotional maturing.

Awesome introduction to Jung's work
Revisado: 05-11-15
What did you love best about Jung?
A very thoughtful introduction to the work of Jung. The author has obviously sat with the material for a very long time to get to this place of clarity. Very well paced and succinct. Whets your appetite for the original.
What other book might you compare Jung to and why?
Mahamudra for the Modern World. I think both works try to summarize to great traditions one of the East and other from the West. I think Jung is a logical precursor to reading the "Mahamudra for the Modern World."
Which character – as performed by Tim Pigott-Smith – was your favorite?
I think he was awesome. I would like to hear more of his narration.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. Listened over several sittings.
