Ed Zwick produced work that played through my young formative years. "ThirtySomething," "Family," "My So Called Life," were on my TV weekly, but then his movies... "Glory," "Legends of the Fall," were clips in my history classroom. As a film buff, it was fascinating to both go behind the scenes to see the frustrating and rewarding building blocks to see a project through, while also learning about the personalities that were juggled in the process. Zwick is passionate about his work and notices the changes in the business. I loved every hour of this book and couldn't wait to revisit it each day. Highly recommend!

A terrific story about what truly goes on behind the scenes and how careers are often made by chance opportunities. Engaging story

Terrific performances in an entertaining story about the President's last day on Earth after having met the angel of death. Who better to play that angel but the incomparable Billy Crystal! The First couple played (once again) by Kevin Kline (Dave) and Annette Bening (The American President) are believable and engaging. The tale is clever and funny and listening to it in my car did not take anything away from the fact that it sounded like I was watching a Broadway play. I highly recommend!

Gabrielle Union is honest and straight-forward in this book -- Amusing anecdotes about being a black woman in Hollywood and also her reality as a minority in a white world. This book is both entertaining as well as enlightening and enjoyable.

I am happily married and this book gave me great insight into how to be a better me and how to understand my husband better. I’m going to make my single children read it in preparation for finding the perfect mate. It was entertaining and extremely helpful.

This book is more important than ever! It covers how expertise is dying at the hands of too much information and the laziness of the average American to get the real facts. The author covers the domains of higher education, journalism, politics, and our democracy as a whole and discusses how people's need for quick snippets rather than delving deeper is costing us a great deal. A scary tome for our future, but understanding the problem is the first step to fixing it. READ THIS BOOK!!

What a smart woman!! I enjoyed hearing Lindy speak her words. It gave me a sense that we were having a glass of wine together and sharing the crazy quirks and injustices of humanity -- laughing most of the way. She is insightful, perceptive, and very very real. I'm going to continue to think about and see a lot of her observations about fat people and women and the perceptions and treatment of both. I really enjoyed this book a lot.

Narrator mispronounced numerous famous people's names, such as Warren "Beety" etc. It's insulting to a listener. Annoying!

I'm not an ultra-runner, just a middle-aged mother of 4 who has run a few marathons (awhile ago). But I found great inspiration from the author's story of growing up bullied without self-confidence who then found a passion and a self-worth through swimming. Soon he was introduced to alcohol which turned his life upside down and he almost lost everything. I loved how Rich found his way back to building his life to conquer impossible goals and now through helping others. I loved the appendix with his diet and how a vegan could triumph through the epic challenge of 5 Ironmans in one week. I read this book over a few days because I couldn't put it down.
