A Must Read
Revisado: 04-23-16
The innocence of a small child exposes the bigotry, ignorance, arrogance, brutality and fallacy of any race or person thinking they are superior to any other race or person. Anyone who reads this book will find that Little Tree is not the only one who gets educated. Forrest Carter made me laugh, cry, and experience a full range of emotions in between.

Insightful, inspiring, liberating!
Revisado: 03-29-16
Shonda Rhimes is a masterful storyteller whose own transformation instructs and inspires her readers to up their own games. She is witty, funny, and insightful as she shares her discovery that when you give yourself permission to be truly amazing, you simultaneously gives others the permission to do the same. I read it twice through in succession and am sure I'll be back to hear it again.

Historia
In 'My Fair Lady', Julie Andrews had the biggest hit on Broadway. As the title role in 'Mary Poppins', she won an Academy Award. And 'The Sound of Music' made her the most famous woman in the world and rescued Twentieth Century Fox from bankruptcy. Three year later, 'Star!' almost put the studio back under, and the leading lady of both films fell as spectacularly as she had risen. Despite many setbacks - including the loss of her singing voice in 1997 - Julie Andrews is still a star.

A great biography about a well-loved star
Revisado: 03-17-16
Anyone who has loved Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins or Maria Von Trapp can enjoy this comprehensive biography. It was enlightening to learn about all of her other contributions to stage, film, literature, and society in general.
