Not knowing much more about her, other than incredible vocals and pop star, I was so inspired with this interview. Ariana Grande is not only gifted but hard working, thoughtful, funny and just a lovely soul. Way to go Smartless! Oh, and I love you guys too!!

Historia
Brooke Shields has spent a lifetime in the public eye. Growing up as a child actor and model, her every feature was scrutinized, her every decision judged. Today Brooke faces a different kind of scrutiny: that of being a “woman of a certain age.” And yet, for Brooke, the passage of time has brought freedom. At fifty-nine, she feels more comfortable in her skin, more empowered and confident than she did decades ago in those famous Calvin Kleins. Now, in Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old, she’s changing the narrative about women and aging.

Just what I needed to hear!
Revisado: 02-09-25
I’m 59 and the first page spoke to me so loud, I couldn’t stop listening. What a wonderful perspective this woman has and, with all her decades of experience, credibility. We’ve been taught to accept aging and all the bs that comes with it. Well, we don’t have to and we’re not alone. This book makes me realize that I still have, hopefully, many years of being relevant and wonderful. This book gives me hope that my next 30 years can be as great, albeit different (obviously) as the last 30. No matter what your life looks like, there is so much wisdom in this book that you owe it to yourself to read or listen. Personally, I love it when authors narrate and I love audiobooks.
Brooke, thank you thank you thank you for writing this book! Oh, and your new business looks amazing. Again, I just thought my hair drama was my new reality…because of my age. I can’t wait to try Commence. Thank you, again!

Fantastic!
Revisado: 01-27-25
Just when I think Kristin Hannah can’t get better, I read this. One of my favorites! What an incredible journey of friendship, love, teenage girls and the absolute normalcy of life. So beautifully written. I laughed and cried but couldn’t put this book down. I watched part of the Netflix series a few years ago and just couldn’t get into it. Now, however, I can’t wait to see the visual presentation of this story. Love love loved this book!

Historia
Food has always been an integral part of Stanley Tucci’s life: from stracciatella soup served in the shadow of the Pantheon, to marinara sauce cooked between scene rehearsals and costume fittings, to home-made pizza eaten with his children before bedtime. Now, in What I Ate in One Year Tucci records twelve months of eating—in restaurants, kitchens, film sets, press junkets, at home and abroad, with friends, with family, with strangers, and occasionally just by himself.

I mean, who wouldn’t want to know what he’s eaten in a year? Turns out, it was amazing (with no shortage of bad meals) and his narration and story telling was such a delight! I seriously love this man! Listen to the book. You’re welcome.

Historia
Sasha has had it. She cannot bring herself to respond to another inane, “urgent” email or participate in the corporate employee joyfulness program. She hasn’t seen her friends in months. Sex? Seems like a lot of effort. Even cooking dinner takes far too much planning. Sasha has hit a wall. Armed with good intentions to drink kale smoothies, try yoga, and find peace, she heads to the seaside resort she loved as a child. But it’s the off season, the hotel is in a dilapidated shambles, and she has to share the beach with the only other occupant: a grumpy guy named Finn.

Beautiful story of unlimited love and loss and new beginnings.
Revisado: 11-08-24
This story was so beautifully written and each and every character had such redeeming qualities, it was hard to pick a favorite. KH did it again! At times, this book felt like a teen novel but it evolved into a poignant story of really understanding that love knows no limits. When you know, you know. I want a V2 of this story to see how they all grow. Beautiful story. All teenagers should read this one!

Fascinating!
Revisado: 08-11-24
Beautifully written! Mr Lowe has had quite the life and, while very successful, he had to work harder than most and seems to have often been treated unfairly. His resilience and love for the craft kept him going and, lucky us, got to enjoy his mastery. Hearing all the “inside scoop” of Hollywood was awesome! Read this book if you want to learn about hardworking, humility and a man’s deep passion and love for his family. Who knew he’s was also such a great storyteller? Buy the book.

What a life!
Revisado: 04-22-24
Thank you Debrah Harry for sharing your story! You’ve accomplished so much and your contributions to music are immeasurable. There’s so much more to Blondie than I ever imagined. This book takes you back to before punk rock and brings us all the way through the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and beyond. She knew everyone! If you love punk rock, you’ll love this book. I love the audio because she narrates. While her tone can be a bit flat, I think it’s representative of her authenticity. If you weren’t a Debrah Harry fan before, you certainly will be after this memoir. Again, thank you Debrah and I hope I get to see you play again!
