Historia
Soon after he opened his vineyard for business many years ago, the Wealthy Gardener noticed a puzzling fact. Everyone wanted money, but only a few people managed to accumulate it. The reason, he realized, is that most people focus on short-term gains instead of achieving lasting wealth. As he grew old and aware of his dwindling time on this Earth, the Wealthy Gardener began to share his hard-earned wisdom with the financially troubled in his community, patiently mentoring those who asked for his practical advice on the ways of prosperity.

Historia
Meet a genuine American folk hero cut from the homespun cloth of America's heartland: Sam Walton, who parlayed a single dime store in a hardscrabble cotton town into Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world. The undisputed merchant king of the late 20th century, Sam never lost the common touch. Here, finally, inimitable words. Genuinely modest, but always sure of his ambitions and achievements. Sam shares his thinking in a candid, straight-from-the-shoulder style. In a story rich with anecdotes and the "rules of the road" of both Main Street and Wall Street, Sam Walton chronicles the inspiration, heart, and optimism that propelled him to lasso the American Dream.

I really like this book because it illustrated that enthusiasm and hard work over decades can move mountains. Also it was comforting to learn that someone who is honest can be successful with a simple strategy. It just takes two minutes amount of focus and determination.

The book is just a simple story with good ideas but not a realistic compelling story that held my attention. another one of those books that could be summarized and a paragraph but stretched into a whole book.

Customers, followers, subscribers. It's easy to just look at the numbers. How many likes? How many purchases? How many email subscribers? But as entrepreneurs, we have to remember that there are people behind all that data. People who are looking to us to be a leader, to give advice, and to care. In this dog-eat-dog world, these are the people who are looking for someone who they can trust and who they know have their best interests in mind.

Not enough substance to support a book

A good idea that could be explained in a paragraph or two but got stretched into an entire book. Also written by an academic rather than a business practitioner so overly general and liking any actionable information.

Wonderful, humorous, insightful book about the mindset needed to become rich and ultimately about the perils of being wealthy. Rare, refreshing straight talk from a man who has been there and done that with a perspective of what it feels like to be wealthy and the sacrifices one must make to get there..The narration was the absolute best I've ever heard. great job!
