Great book.

I’d been told about this book and am thankful I’m going through it. It’s written specifically for gay men. It’s an eye awakening self improvement book by a gay psychotherapist. He covers what he calls the different phases we all go through to hopefully become a healthy authentic man in healthy authentic relationships. It is definitely worth while. I’d definitely encourage others to read or listen as I am.

I love him. And I’m pretty sure he loves me back...even though he’s straight. When I first met Carter King, I knew he was something special. I imagined us being together, and we are, but only as friends. Best friends! I’m trying to be cool with that, even though I know he has secrets, and there have definitely been mixed signals. I don’t want a crush to ruin what we already have. Then again, if there’s any chance that we can be together, it’s worth the risk, because Carter could be the love of my life. Or he might be the boy who breaks my heart.

Audio book is amazing. Best book I've ever read.

I honestly have to say that this is the best book I've ever read. Like shockingly well. As an author I was super intimidated. Thankfully I've got help with mine but this guy is amazing. Either he's got nearly impossibly amazing recall of his life, or he's the most creative writer I've ever read. And the audio book is the best. Not only does Augustin read it himself, he literally role plays each character in the book. Their back and forth between characters was incredibly entertaining, fascinating, and extremely humorous. But be warned, there are some very colorful moments that I was quite blown away by. I defining recommend Running with Scissors, especially the audio version.

As a Southern Baptist, I've never been encouraged to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit or to receive one practice His gifts. This was very helpful in learning more and throwing off hesitation.

This is an excellent, to the point, self assessment tool. While probably not post fall into the extremes of sexual addiction, like myself, I believe the fact that we're seeking it out and listening for other than entertainment (why would you?) value, there's a problem. For me, this was helpful. I would encourage anyone. Don't use the credit, just spend the $3. Its worth it!
