Seems like the author gave up at the end
Revisado: 10-14-22
I’ll try not to spoil it but it feels to me like the author spent an entire book setting up the ending to find out what happened to the two protagonists. One,I think we all knew how she would eventually resolve her problem. The more mysterious other gets hints throughout the book that somehow she avoids the obvious end but when it gets time for the big reveal, nope. We get the obvious end. No surprises, no plot twist, nothing but “gee I guess I couldn’t come up with some creative exit to explain why I built this all up.” Otherwise an interesting listen with good narration.

Finally took the time to listen to one of “The Great Courses” during the free trial period. Really really enjoyed “The Great Tours: England,Scotland and Wales”. Presented with passion and in an entertaining fashion. I’m hooked and will start using some of my credits on these moving forward!

Extraordinary program
Revisado: 01-16-22
This is the very best example of a podcast series I have ever listened to. The production, music, reporting, narration, writing, and story are top notch. It is such a compelling telling of an amazing story. Told from the perspective of those who were there it places the listener right in the middle of the action. “Fairy tales start with once upon a time. Fisherman’s tales start with ‘this is what the f&(k happened” is exactly what this is. Congratulations on a superb product.

So far so good
Revisado: 12-07-18
It’s just a very preliminary step but I really enjoyed the way the content was presented. Rather than rote memorization which has never worked for me it’s presented in a nice example, challenge , review, and scenario format that seems to be sticking with me. I look forward to doing the next in the series and then I’m off to Spain to order some paella !

Hiaasen’s books are usually so entertaining and full of humor and intrigue . This one is formulaic and simply not very interesting. Sorry, really wanted to love it. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen but never found it:(

I guess author got bored and decided not to finish
Revisado: 06-12-17
While the plot was simplistic and full of redundancy I assume the author got bored and just decided to end it in the middle without resolving anything. Frankly, by the end of the story nothing had changed. I guess the idea is that now it will be a series and we will be hooked to buy more to follow the lead's adventures. Well, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I won't make that mistake twice.
