Made a great background character horrible.

So when Ellie and John visit to Moritoi tribe in this book Ellie is supposed to fight three wise women. They cut this out and made Ellie pathetic when she held her own against stronger better opponents that even cheated. This is what made John invoke the oath of destruction.
Not only did they do this but they made John fight the moon guardian which never happened just to make him look more bad ass... which really was not needed John has plenty of time to do that.

The VA's were great. Story sadly more smut than story telling. Plot armor galor for the main character. Can understand the polyarmory which is fine just.... far too much smut to actually enjoy. Bought it thinking it might be a good thing to listen to at work. Spent the whole day in silence instead because I did not expect the explicit content.
Also the author named the dark elves drayers... Which made me double take on them since the start because drayers in medieval settings were people who were employed by breweries to cart alcohol from the brewery to the taverns. So here I am picturing a society of alcohol haulers.
Also the mc was too cocky it was annoying.
