Would you listen to The Lost Key again? Why?
Yes, I would. I really enjoyed this book which integrated action, dialogue, intrigue, historical information, and humor. Narrators were great!
What other book might you compare The Lost Key to and why?
Book 1 flowed directly into Book 2 with more than just storyline. It continued with the same humor and drama. I enjoy the books of Catherine Coulter and find similarities with those of David Baldacci. There's substance to their entertaining and thoughtful books.
What about Renee Raudman and MacLeod Andrews ’s performance did you like?
They are always fantastic. Two of my favorites.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I definitely chuckled several times. The wit and humor were integrated into the story very well and performed by the narrators expertly. You could actually hear the interchanges among the characters as if you were there.
Any additional comments?
I hope that this progresses into a multi-book series.

Robin is flying back into the misty Pacific Northwest for Christmas, which is a bit fitting after her last so-so relationship ended. Alex just wasn't the right man for her. Things look up when Grayson sits next to her on the plane - he's hot, charming, witty and very into her. Unfortunately their chance meeting puts her in danger, and suddenly Robin is trapped into spending the holiday with this charming, mysterious man at a secluded mountain cabin. He vows to protect her with his own life if needed.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The premise of the story was o.k. but the author attempted to put too much story into a too small package. The result was, unfortunately, a very cheesy story. Unfortunately, out of my over 400 audiobooks, this one is right near the bottom.
Would you ever listen to anything by Kristen James again?
I doubt it.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator read what was written but in a manner that was too melodramatic for me. She alternated between throes of passion (barely holding back tears) to fear for one's life (barely holding back tears) to the hope-felt conclusion (barely holding back hears).
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Author should use the same story line and make it into an audiobook of at least 8 hrs. to do justice to the story.
