I love that it gave me this perspective
Revisado: 06-20-22
this book is fantastic and reminds me of the movie The Faculty except it's not told from the perspective of a bunch of high school students that get lucky it's told from the perspective of the invading Force the aliens and how they could take over and the mindset that you have to have to do so it is by far one of the most interesting reads ever found and I can't wait for the next three books to be released on Audible so I can buy them immediately this writer is a few minutes and I would definitely select it there was only one issue and that was on one of the chapters the audio was off and the voice actor had a Miss recording on there other than that it was perfect. I'm all about new and interesting perspectives in this is a perspective that is actually quite fantastical to merge fantasy with Invasion of the Body Snatchers I can't even describe how much I liked it other than I have to say that everyone should read this why isn't this a genre that there's more of I don't know.

OUTLANDISHLY FUNNY
Revisado: 06-02-22
this book was pretty amazing I would just suggest that you not listen to it unless you really really like funds because I absolutely loved it the characters were interesting and the storyline was easy to keep up with even the constant barrage of data wasn't that bad but the puns and the jokes are what made me laugh the hardest I would definitely recommend.

I did not expect this book to be as good as it was and I am very happy that it broke through the monotony of the shit that I normally reading I will be reading a lot more of it but I had to thank the person who suggested that otherwise I probably never would have read this now I'm about to read the whole series because this writer is fantastic and I would definitely recommend this book.

Historia
Charles Murphy's superpower is useless. He can turn into a churro. In a world where one percent of the population has powers, he's quite below average; many would say he's completely useless. And they have. At length. For years. Despite his deep-seated desire to be a hero, his ability isn't glamorous and can't be used to fight crime, so he and a small cadre of similarly useless supers are relegated to Omega Team and told explicitly that all they will ever need to do is sit there and look pretty. And while waiting to be called up to the big leagues, they might as well get laid, right?

I'm shocked how good this book is.
Revisado: 01-05-22
To be honest I'm upset there isn't a book 3 yet I thought this was an excellent read even though I bought it thinking that it would be a pretty shitty (pun intended) book but something to listen to when I get bored I was wrong once you get past chapter 4 everything just snowballs into a much better read with a deal of character development, word building and really easy to understanding how the character's power sets evolve. The sex scenes however go from slightly perverted, to little freaky, to very kinky, and finally monster porn but not real monster porn it was honestly all just a very interesting read and I wish there were more books to this series.

Historia
At once a powerful evocation of his early life in Harlem and a disturbing examination of the consequences of racial injustice to both the individual and the body politic, James Baldwin galvanized the nation in the early days of the civil rights movement with this eloquent manifesto. The Fire Next Time stands as one of the essential works of our literature.

Historia
Breck was a heavy metal rock star and to some, perhaps, even a rock god. Playing bass since he was 10, he learned to sing and write music under the tutelage of some of the industry's best. His band was one of the loudest and heaviest out there, and they had moved from one hit record to the next with ease. Married to a supermodel and being at the top of the rock star pyramid, life for Breck was everything he'd ever wanted it to be.

Say what you want about all of those books were the heroes are true boy scout, but there's something truly delicious about reading about a hero that's completely flawed especially when you see how flawed he is at the end of the book and still root for him and wanna read the next one

So different it's perfect
Revisado: 04-01-21
Was expecting a story about a kid who had power but because of societee was branded powerless and treated like ship gaining power and being a good guide or an anti-hero this book is not that trope this book starts off like that but becomes so much more realistic when. You start to realize that the main character isn't a Magnificent mastered with the diabolical plan to manipulate behind the scenes for everything but in reality hes just the abused and mistreated son of a nobleman who is carrying on the cycle that his father and grandfather started without even realizing it can't wait to see the growth of this character the moment he realizes that with Great-Power comes great responsibility and that someone's manipulating him because there's always someone behind the scenes. Honestly though my personal hope is that this book goes in the opposite direction and power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely and this kid just Rules the World.

I do love a slow burn
Revisado: 03-25-21
wasn't expecting this book to be as good as the first but it definitely is especially with the slow burn and the build up and then the part where he finally man's up instead of acting like a anime character which I really enjoy it's even amusing to me how this guy constantly talks about his best friend like a best friend would do in this particular situation sex scenes were pretty good too.

As the only male demigod of his generation, Cameron has some pretty big...shoes to fill. For one, he has to deal with all the female demigods, and some of them, well... you know. For two, he’s the best blacksmith the demigods have seen in a millennia, which is good because apparently, he’s destined to craft the Ultimate Weapon. So, yeah, this book is about a dude who likes to forge things and is surrounded by hot demigoddesses. Do the math.

Percy Jackson goes to college and have sex.. twice
Revisado: 02-27-21
You are getting a low ranking because I know the author does better work I am a fan of Simon Archer but this book is kind of trash because of the goddamn recording every single word at the beginning of a sentence was missing and that is not an exaggeration I had to listen to this book quite a few times extra just so I knew what characters were talking or doing in the story I understand that it's probably not the right as fault it's most likely audibles so audible please get your shit together so that I can give the writer a better rating as well as the narrator cuz from what I could hear they did a pretty good job.
So reading this book I can honestly say that the story was kind of predictable and the main character was mostly intelligent, but also an idiot... it just took him way too long to know who his enemies and his friends are. Not to mention realize the power that he actually holds if someone wants you to make an all-powerful weapon to end a war and then threatens to throw you out in the streets if you don't the reality is that's an empty threat cuz they still need that all-powerful weapon.
Also most of his friends seem to be pretty fucking cool but his recruiter is definitely an idiot which you will understand at the end of the book when he comes to the realization of how to fight the bad guys before she does.the sex scenes in this book were pretty good for quickies cuz that's basically what they were it was a 3 to 8 minute description of sex.
I totally understand that there's nothing new under the sun, but there is definitely a way to make it less predictable, If this book were a movie it would be PG-13 X-Men movie with the 13 rating for a little bit of side boob smh.

Revisado: 02-24-21
okay so I love the fact of the book is action-packed the story is shamelessly honest about how people are supposed to act in the apocalypse and oh my God the kinky sex scenes are fantastic though they do take a drop for story I need more of these books in my life especially now that this man finally got his 4th dream vehicle.
