I did not like the “series” structure! Most series keep the same character(s) while providing a fresh storyline. The Defiance Series was three books that should have been one book. I felt deceived buying the first and second books ending without finishing the story. The structure was more like a TV series than a typical book series. Be prepared to pay for three books to find out what happens.
