Be clear; this is a fantasy story, with love, lust, trials and tribulations, and yes - some teen angst. And therefore, thoroughly entertaining if you’re into that sort of thing.
Its somehow a mix of beauty and the beast, hunger games, fifty shades, twilights etc.
It’s not a literary masterpiece ;) But I enjoy the hell out of it 🍿Bought the entire series.

Well marketed book

Honestly it’s not horrible, but it certainly doesn’t live up to the hype. I found the life tale which I’m sure is meant to be inspiring, extremely every day.
I’m not particularly interested in US politics. And was hoping to a tale of women’s wisdom, which I didn’t find it to be.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It's not very long, so its not like you'll wast days. It's very self indulgent, it starts out sounding smart but towards the end I felt like I'm listening to a chick moan about her crazy X for hours at end. If what this guys wrote is true, it's an amazing story to listen to over drinks; not really good enough to write a book about. But it's a good story; he tells it well and it is short so it's fine.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Wasn't profound, although I think that's what he was going for. It's fine. He went on a bit.

What does Mishka Shubaly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He tells it well, he really gives life to the moments where he talks about loneliness and the angry bits really come alive. Done well.

Was Are You Lonesome Tonight? worth the listening time?

Yes I would say so. It's short so it's not days out of your life, otherwise I would say no.

It's not profound, don't be fooled. It's entertaining, the narrator delivers it well, but it's a good bar story.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She was perfect for this book. Not to be horrible, but she sounds a but dumb. And that contributed to how funny this was.

Really nothing the whole thing is horrible

Really bad, but addictive

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book is for a 14-year-old girl, not a 30-year-old woman. I started reading the series, because let be honest, Vampire trash is addictive. But this will be my last book in this series. The writing is terrible and the story and references is aimed at entertaining an early puberty girl.

What was most disappointing about P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast ’s story?

The story is really dragged out, but besides that maybe my problem with this book is just that I'm completely not the target audience. Again, this is for a 14 year old girl.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Not much, he narration was fine.

What character would you cut from Hidden?

Heath

If you are older than 16 or have more behind your name than matric, dont bother, you will cringe all through the book.

Where does The Graveyard Book rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This must be my favorite audio book to date. This story would have been good read by any one, but Neil Gaiman added to it even more

What other book might you compare The Graveyard Book to and why?

I tell every one who doesn’t know Coraline, that it is very ‘Nightmare before Christmas’ / ‘Corpses bride’

Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed the magic of the grave yard –Bod’s adventures with all the dead and their stories and the secrets of the grave yard he explored.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, definitely

This is really a good book, definitely worth a credit. The author reading it made the audio book even better, because who could better understand precisely the mood of each scene and the personalities of the characters. Different people like different kinds of books, but I can’t imagine that any one would listen to this and regret it.

Would you listen to The Host again? Why?

I might a few years form now, its a interesting and entertaining story. Its simple in its writing and I suppose the kind of love story it tells but that also a plus - its easy to listen to, not to hard to follow - a book for the gym.

Would you recommend The Host to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes i would. Its the kind of book you keep for times you don't really have to concentrate too much. Like for the gym or at the office. But the story, although filled with aliens, are a very simple love story.

Yes

Not really.

Buy it. Its effortless entertainment, you wont be sorry as long as that is what you are looking for.

If you LOVE animals, this is for you

What did you love best about Love Is the Best Medicine?

I'm a huge animal lover, so every story about the characters/animals courage and strength reminded me of the amazing animals I've known.

I didn't like the narrator that much, he was terrible but, somehow it didn't work for me.

Yes, its a brilliant series.

I didnt enjoy this book as much as the others. The story line focus more on other characters that were previously supporting stories. So you go into it wanting to know more about the characters you know, to find that you have to get use to a new cast now.
