Historia
An underwater exploration that overturns myths about fishes and reveals their complex lives, from tool use to social behavior. There are more than 30,000 species of fish - more than all mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians combined. But for all their breathtaking diversity and beauty, we rarely consider how fish think, feel, and behave.

Please say there’s another book coming!!!
Im floored, couldn’t imagine finding a better source of information on this topic. I loved every bit of it. especially the the side humor. it’s been a long time since i took notes while reading a book :) To think of all the “fish hobbyists” out there with their youtube channels “teaching” us everything but what a fish knows, or anything useful that is .
I am so grateful to have found this book. even as a veterinary assistant along with an aquatic veterinarian looking after them…. it’s not enough. they do not belong in an aquarium.. hearing your stories about the secret lives of these incredible animals really perked me up. Even if it’s just a few families still out there living their lives as they choose,
thank you so much

Historia
Matt Ball and Bruce Friedrich take the plight of the world's animals seriously and have dedicated their lives to ending their suffering. The Animal Activist's Handbook argues that meaning in life is to be found, quite simply, in turning away from the futile pursuit of "more" and focusing instead on leaving the planet a better place than you found it. The critical component of creating a better world for all is thoughtful, deliberate, and dedicated activism that takes suffering seriously.
