Revisado: 03-25-24
the premise for this story is a good idea. the execution is garbage. it is stupid poorly written fan fic at best. it's only 2 hours and I couldn't finish it.

Historia
Life had been hard for Elizabeth Bennet in the months since she refused Mr. Darcy’s proposal at Kent. Lydia eloped with Mr. Wickham, and her father died shortly thereafter. Mr. Collins took possession of Longbourn, forcing her family to live apart to survive. She and Jane left to live in London with the Gardiners, and Elizabeth’s hope of finding employment there was fading quickly as Christmas approached.

I love p & p variations. this was just bad. mostly the lack of understanding the regency period. the money the protocol. this was just bad fanfic. it was just lazy writing.

Historia
Bella and Edward, and their family and friends, have faced countless dangers and philosophical dilemmas in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novels. This book is the first to explore them, drawing on the wisdom of philosophical heavyweights to answer essential questions such as: What do the struggles of "vegetarian" vampires who control their biological urge for human blood say about free will?

the reader is so dry and awful I couldn't finish. the cuts were also super obvious so she must have messed up a lot.

Historia
Jane Austen's classic romantic comedy is the sparkling tale of the Bennets, a family blessed with five daughters and a mother desperate to marry them off. The tempestuous pairing of the witty, independent Elizabeth and her arrogant but honorable suitor Mr. Darcy sets the standard for all great couples of stage and screen. Although many have tried, few literary romances have matched the wit and gentile satire of Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

not my favorite p & p.
Revisado: 06-28-17
I did not love the choices of what to leave in or remove. I also found the performance dry. not bad really just not good.

Where does The Man That Time Forgot: Book 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top 60
Would you be willing to try another book from Alan Mechem and Paul Mitchell ? Why or why not?
Yes, depending on who read it.
Which character – as performed by Richard Ridings – was your favorite?
All, he really brought them to life. You knew right away who was speaking.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No
Any additional comments?
This was a pure historical scifi book. Not for light readers. Loads of history and science. You really have to pay attention to keep up, but worth it. The reader made it easy to pay attention, awesome voices and character realization. Even if the story lost me, that voice kept me engaged.
