great book

This was a really good book and while I haven't listened nor read book one this was given to me to review.

I don't know if it's the narrator or the way the book is written but Fiona seems very careless with her own life . she feels deeply for the dead and wants to find the one behind the murders. The fact she has not just one or two men but three! falling for her is a very nice suprise and I would love to find out who she chooses. unfortunately if it's going to be the same narrators I will not be listening to the next one but reading it instead as I really did have a tough time with the female narrator and no emotion in her voice. I really loved the story line amd can't wait for the next book. Thank You to the author for writing yet again another great book!

new author and narrator for me but I was rather impressed with her writing and the narrator grew on me after a while. would have liked to see this one a little more steamy but I'm looking forward to more from this author. great book and a very good listen.

reminded me of Outlander at points

this had points in it that reminded me of Outlander no time travel but with Isabel being hunted by an officer and that officer the biggest ass reminded me of Outlander in parts of both books they were each like a dog with a bone and out for blood for different reasons and just needed to go away. the Hero of this book had a definite twist to his future and I would have loved to hear how his story ended. I'm glad to see how the book ended but would definitely appreciated a different ending with more detail on his family instead of all the mystery left to the next book. I hate books that are left off for the next ones. I also didn't realize this would have all the politics it did in it and I usually steer clear of those but for some reason I could turn in off. this is one I will be listening to again. Thanks for having this on sale Audible. to the Author "May" great job 😉

one of my favorites

love seeing how the family is growing not just in size but as a whole. how Mac and Isabel are fairing with their relationship how Ian is growing as a person and handling his problems also if his children ended up with their fathers so called madness. How much Heart has become such a big teddy bear, Cam, and Danny almost all grown up warms my heart.

best one of them all but I think I missed the rest of the family. I really did enjoy this one and I'm not one for ships and pirates and such.

better than the 1st book

better than the1st book! the narrator did better with the accent but there was still too much "man" in ever other paragraph heroine was too weak of a character. but over enjoyed it

The word "man"

The word "man" being put in every in what seemed like every other sentence was not needed this was unlessessary and highly annoying not to mention the plus vain spoiled heroine who was really hard to like.
This audiobook was really hard to get through. I listened to the 3rd book first and the heroine was so different than in her own book! the 3rd book was great so I'll try the 2nd book and see if they get better.

Derek Perkins and Kerrigan Byrne are outstanding

loved these books though the last 3 were hard to follow in the timeline from the last 6 so I give it a 4 star. the humor in this and Derek Perkins voice was perfect with Kerrigan Byrne writing.
