Regardless of what your upbringing was like, odds are that along the way, you have either directly been taught poor boundaries by parents or caregivers, had people close to you who had poor boundaries, or experienced poor boundaries in friendships, work relationships - or even with yourself!

This book truly can change your life, if you will apply its principles.

It is packed full of references to the Bible - so if you are not a Christian, or irreligious, you can just take the principles and run with them!

I am a follower of Jesus, so for me the Scripture references add a whole layer of context to the truths shared in this book.

Regardless of who you are or where you come from, or what stage of life you are in - this book can help you thrive in all your relationships!

This Book Has Answered My Decor Questions Forever!

I didn't know what I wanted.
I haven't known what I wanted from my home since it was only my room as a teenager, much less as a young wife decorating my first place. I've learned so much about myself in the last few years of homemaking, but still could not figure out how to make my home match my vibe while being both purposeful and beautiful.
Myquillyn to the rescue! She not only gave me inspiration and purpose, but very practical tips on how to make each room feel intentional and cohesive.
I was apprehensive about moving into our new house and starting from scratch again until I listened to this book, and now I'm excited to make this new place into a beautiful, purposeful, and cozy home.

In the typical Lewis fashion, we find in Perelandra a new, beautiful world woven with extraordinary depth and colors, but this time a story which feels in many ways wholly unconnected to its first installment in this trilogy, Out of the Silent Planet.

The picture he painted of this virgin planet is a thrill to the senses, its pleasures sparking wonder and longing for the existence of such a place and a way to enter into it - as Lewis accurately states in one of his other works is the natural response to beauty; the desire to pass into it and become part of it.

The story I cannot on the whole criticize, for it has at points many pictures well painted also, of various points of theology, and the idea of a sort of "Paradise Lost" reenacted - but the theology I cannot follow all the way through, and some of the allegory was rather hard to swallow...dare I say cheesy? Dare I say boldly close to sacrilegious?

Maybe I should leave it at saying it simply moved a little slowly, and felt a little cumbersome for Lewis.
I have to say I was let down. The buildup in the beginning was glorious, and the climax satisfying, but afterwards it sloped off so gradually and so gently that I didn't feel like things were properly resolved...

Not my favorite of his works, but I did enjoy it, so we'll see what That Hideous Strength has to offer.
