Historia
In the year 2018, it seems as if women’s anger has suddenly erupted into the public conversation. But long before this, women’s anger was not only politically catalytic - but politically problematic. With eloquence and fervor, Rebecca tracks the history of female anger as political fuel - from suffragettes chaining themselves to the White House to office workers vacating their buildings after Clarence Thomas was confirmed to the Supreme Court. She deconstructs society’s (and the media’s) condemnation of female emotion (notably, rage) and the impact of resulting repercussions.

Must needed
Revisado: 08-21-19
It is hard to wait for a book or someone to tell you that is ok to be mad. Societies evolve, some faster that others. This book helps me to be more empathetic with myself and other women.
It helps to break the vicious cycle with younger generations, both women and men. We have a right to be mad (as woman and also as human), women's rights have been violated or non-existent for centuries, every inch that we have today has been fought. And still today, sometimes we are asked to be grateful for the opportunities we have in the patriarchal system.
Great book that open your eyes that we still have things to conquer, as women and as humans.

Historia
The number-one best-selling author of The Future of the Mind traverses the frontiers of astrophysics, artificial intelligence, and technology to offer a stunning vision of man's future in space, from settling Mars to traveling to distant galaxies. Formerly the domain of fiction, moving human civilization to the stars is increasingly becoming a scientific possibility - and a necessity. Whether in the near future due to climate change and the depletion of finite resources or in the distant future due to catastrophic cosmological events, humans will one day need to leave Earth.

A glimpse of what is coming
Revisado: 08-21-19
If you love science and love futuristic predictions of what future holds for humanity, this book is great. Not as a Hollywood story, but one based on science, physics, biology, chemistry,
Science is explained in a way for people like me that has not much of science background but technological. His reference to pop culture helps to understand better what is coming. How society must evolve or die.
Really good and fun reading.

A little repetitive
Revisado: 08-21-19
There are many chapters where Kaku repeats himself. The story is great, but reading Humanity and then this book is like you are reading the same book.
I will prefer Humanity, no need for this one. If you like science and science fiction this book is for you. Not as Hollywood story, but a story with more science involved.
Pay close attention to his explanation of science it is the support what the future holds.

Contradictorio
Revisado: 08-21-19

The political climate makes this book more relevant, to go to the basic human morals, to the basic truth. Good reading, very fluent, easy to follow even though I dont know the whole story behind every event. A look from inside.

Historia
"The war tried to kill us in the spring," begins this breathtaking account of friendship and loss. In Al Tafar, Iraq, 21-year-old Private Bartle and 18-year-old Private Murphy cling to life as their platoon launches a bloody battle for the city. In the endless days that follow, the two young soldiers do everything to protect each other from the forces that press in on every side: the insurgents, physical fatigue, and the mental stress that comes from constant danger. Bound together since basic training when their tough-as-nails sergeant ordered Bartle to watch over Murphy, the two have been dropped into a war neither is prepared for.

Revisado: 05-11-18
This book was my final paper at school. Not really my type of book, but I enjoyed it. Profound, many details, poetic and real life cruelty. Well written for being Power's first book. It has the war's horrors and the most human and inexplicable actions. You will be sad and happy during the whole book.

Historia
The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ is the remarkable new piece of fiction from best-selling and famously atheistic author Philip Pullman. By challenging the events of the gospels, Pullman puts forward his own compelling and plausible version of the life of Jesus, and in so doing, does what all great books do: makes the reader ask questions.

Any additional comments?
It is really boring book. The story adds little to the known story from the Bible, I was expecting more intrigue or more development. Waste of money.

Historia
Part 1 of Godless, "Rejecting God", tells the story of how I moved from devout preacher to atheist and beyond. Part 2, "Why I Am an Atheist", presents my philosophical reasons for unbelief. Part 3, "What's Wrong with Christianity", critiques the bible (its reliability as well as its morality) and the historical evidence for Jesus. Part 4, "Life Is Good!", comes back to my personal story, taking a case to the United States Supreme Court, dealing with personal trauma, and experiencing the excitement of Adventures in Atheism.

For those that want to understand more her/his atheism is the perfect book. The second and third part where explains the Bible contradictions you will feel in "heaven" with new information.
For those that want to understand "the other side" it will be hard, but it is written from the heart and with totally transparency coming from a former Pastor.
And it is also funny.

Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

I really enjoyed this book. Tiffany is really funny and she is a story-teller. Even her most tragic stories will bring you knowledge and understanding. She had a rough childhood, and could overcome her own fate.
You are going to laugh hard and cry really hard as well. Really good book.

Historia
Al Franken, Giant of the Senate is a book about an unlikely campaign that had an even more improbable ending: the closest outcome in history and an unprecedented eight-month recount saga, which is pretty funny in retrospect. It's a book about what happens when the nation's foremost progressive satirist gets a chance to serve in the United States Senate and, defying the low expectations of the pundit class, actually turns out to be good at it.
