while it was a cute premise, the religious push is just not something I want in my down time. If I want a Bible parable shoved at me I'll either go to church or turn on the news.

I personally found the characters under developed.

I despise the fat shaming threads, while I will acknowledge the hero trying to take a stand against those ideals, I found the whole concept just plain sour. The Jesus save me diet plan a huge hoax.

Internal demon fighting is great strength

I enjoyed this whole series. But I almost skipped this one based on reviews here. Reviews that say Rose is "weak"

If you read those and paused please take a second to read my second opinion.

Lia in the first few books fought a history of physical and mental abuse and the reviewers praised her strength. Rose hide deep emotional abuse and trauma behind brassy boldness.

Here she hits rock bottom and fights her way back. She learns the lean on others, to trust when she had no reason to trust ever again. This is true strength.

This a great journey into personal recovery!

What a fantastic listen!

For the record, I chew through audio books rapidly. I average around 20 a month.
This one was my first exposure to both the author and the narrator, I will most assuredly be going back to continue the tale.

Romance themed novel often take such a predictable path. There is a specific formula that has been proven over and over again. Meet up and call in love, short period of perfection, major drama leads to break up, get back together and happily ever after. And while that may be to roots of this book as well, the journey is emotional, empathetic, thought provoking, and real.

Definitely worth your credit, and your valuable time.

Kudos to Troy on the amazing narration!

WOW. my first by this author but not my last!

let's be honest this one (and everything I see by Rutherford are commitments. You are entering long term relationship status with a story.

This one is magical. It will have its ups and downs, but definitely a win.

Personally, I chew through audio books at an alarming rate, not often do I get to the end and just know this one will stay with me. This is one of those that 10 years from now, I'll still remember. I will definitely put it in my relisten list!

Great audio version, Shakespeare was mean to be performed and reading along while you listen along will make it 4 times as rich!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Outlander?

Jamie and Claire, both strong willed and head strong, working through the challenges that rise up in the aftermath of being attacked.

What does Davina Porter bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

Davina brings you into each moment, the range of emotion she reads you through is remarkable!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

While I have re-read the series multiple times, I have also re-listened, there is something new and magical every time and anxiously await the next installment
