Historia
Having entertained the idea for years, and even offered a few questionable opportunities ("It's a piece of cake! Just do four hours of interviews, find someone else to write it, put your face on the cover, and voila!") I have decided to tell these stories just as I have always done, in my own voice.

Excellent Biography Gen X's greatest Musician
Revisado: 06-17-22
I loved the fact that this biography was narrated by Dave Grohl himself. You could hear his enthusiasm for music, life, and family. I really enjoyed hearing about all of the other bands, it took me back in my own memories and I only wish that I attended more concerts back then. I highly recommend listening to this book and hearing his voice versus just reading the pages.

A New Perspective on Adoption
Revisado: 04-04-22
Prior to reading this book I had always been pro adoption as we have several adopted family members. I had not thought too much about the birth parents perspective. These interviews really give an excellent perspective on what life was like for young women and how they were not give the choice to keep their children. Not only is it sad, it is criminal.

Historia
Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Tara Westover was seventeen the first time she set foot in a classroom. Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education, and no one to intervene when one of Tara’s older brothers became violent. When another brother got himself into college, Tara decided to try a new kind of life. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge University.

Many Lifetimes in a relatively short life

This author proves that education comes in many forms. Very enjoyable yet also dark sometimes.

Historia
Sofia Colicchio is a free spirit, loud and untamed. Antonia Russo is thoughtful, ever observing the world around her. Best friends since birth, they live in the shadow of their fathers’ unspoken community: the Family. Sunday dinners gather them each week to feast, discuss business, and renew the intoxicating bond borne of blood and love. But the disappearance of Antonia’s father drives a whisper-thin wedge between the girls as they grow into women, wives, mothers, and leaders. One fateful night, their loyalty to each other and the Family will be tested.

Enjoyable Family Read
Revisado: 02-13-22
I enjoyed the narrator, the book while slow at times was a good read about friendship and how it ebbs and flows
