Exciting Twists and Turns
Revisado: 09-02-19
This is a great story with many twists and turns. John and Julia's characters are well developed and true to book 1. I enjoyed how well the story was thought out with little hints of suspense throughout each chapter. Once or twice I was a little frustrated with Julia's character, but that made her more real. There were a few times that I felt that the author didn't need to spell out every detail (such as what some of the vocabulary meant or some of the old-time phrases. But maybe younger readers would need those explanations.) Intrigue is a great word for this series!

Great Cozy Mystery
Revisado: 09-02-19
This cozy mystery was captivating and full of charm. I particularly enjoyed the setting because it was a familiar place to me. I enjoyed learning more about the Anasazi people and their history. Linda Weaver Clarke is particularly talented at developing her characters. They stay true to form throughout the book and you really feel like you know them. Her descriptions of the locations were also well done. There was just enough suspense to keep you listening and anxious to find out what happens next. The narrator did a nice job as well with all the different voices. The book left me anxious to read the next one.

Another great cozy mystery!
Revisado: 06-06-17
What did you love best about The Lighthouse Secret?
I really liked the interesting facts I learned about lighthouses.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I liked meeting Rick's family. They were fun and added another dimension to the characters.
Any additional comments?
I was a little discouraged this time that Amelia was portrayed as smart in some things (figuring out the clues), yet so naive in her other areas. It seemed incongruous for her character. But even with that being said, I loved the story and found it as delightful as the rest of the series. Diane Lehman did a wonderful job with the narration. I hope Linda Weaver Clarke will do another cozy mystery series. She has a great mind for mystery!

Delightful Fantasy
Revisado: 02-04-17
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this third book in the series very much. It took me a little bit into the book to place the characters (the ones that had been introduced in the previous books). The story was very engaging and and I loved how it kept moving quickly. I struggled just a little on the audio version every time "Ander" and "Andrew" were in the same scene. Sometimes I wasn't sure which character the narrator had said (the names closely resemble each other to my ears). I listened to the book in my car and I kept wanting to listen to more whenever I reached my destination. To me that's a sign of a great audiobook! I'm also a lover of books that end well without any lose ends. Thank you Serena Clarke for a very entertaining book!

An Interesting Twist with Interesting Facts
Revisado: 01-07-17
Any additional comments?
I particularly enjoyed the twist in this mystery. Rick and Amelia actually get hired twice to find the same person. They overcome difficult obstacles all along the way. I also found the facts in relation to the medical condition in the story very interesting (with the author's note at the end that her grandson actually has the condition!) I have enjoyed getting to know the characters over the course of the series. The relationship and interactions between Rick and Amelia are genuine. I find that I laugh with them and appreciate their support of each other. Where one is weak, the other is strong, and that goes back and forth between the two. Diane Lehman provides a good smooth pace to the story with differing voices for the characters. Thanks Linda Clarke for another good clean mystery!

A sequel that's as good as the first!
Revisado: 11-10-16
I love it when the second book in a series is as engaging as the first book and this one definitely was! It took me a little bit into the book to figure out the relationship to the first book. But once I did, it was very intriguing. I loved that it was another story in the family. Serena Clarke has a way of developing the characters so you feel like you really know them. I found myself getting frustrated with them, laughing with them, and wanting to fix their situation! I always know when I've found a particularly good audio book because I found myself looking for times when I can listen to it throughout the day. The narrator also portrayed the characters excellently. I loved the accents she gave to each character. Thanks for a great book Serena Clarke!

My Favorite So Far
Revisado: 09-01-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would highly recommend this audiobook to a friend. It was well written and the story was fresh. I have grown to love the missing person mysteries! The story had a wonderful pace. I also enjoyed how it played to my romantic side without it being overdone. I found it thoroughly entertaining. I love stories that end well (and this one did). But I wasn't positively sure it was going to, which was also fun. The author had intrigue throughout the whole book, and it had enough mystery to keep me wondering and guessing but not frustrated. I think this book 5 is my favorite in the series so far (but definitely read them in order). Thank you Linda Clarke for another great story.

Another Great Mystery.
Revisado: 08-19-16
Would you listen to The Mysterious Doll again? Why?
Yes, I would listen to the Mysterious Doll again. The characters were interesting and now that I know who did it, I would like to hear it again.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I like Rick. He is always so calm and it's comforting to know he has those amazing skills to get he and Amelia out of tough situations! I like the way the narrator portrays Rick (I think she does his voice and inflections the best!) I also like the fact that Amelia is now "carrying" and becoming a stronger character in her own right now.
Any additional comments?
I love it that I don't have to worry about anything inappropriate (no bad language and no uncomfortable scenes) In Linda Weaver Clarke's books. The story is engaging and the developing relationship between the two main characters is fun. Thank you Linda Clarke for another great story!

This book had me hooked right from the beginning. The story was wonderfully written with strong characters. There was just enough magic to keep it fun and interesting without it being overdone. The narrator was also excellent and very easy to listen to. I am anxiously awaiting Serena Clarke's next audio book!

The Missing Heir - A Great Cozy Mystery
Revisado: 03-31-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This third book in the Amelia Moore series was just as enjoyable as the others. I appreciate the fact that the story stands alone, but I recommend reading the books in order because of the relationship of Amelia and her partner Rick.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Missing Heir?
I enjoyed the descriptions of the places they visited in Mexico. Linda Weaver Clarke has a wonderful talent of setting and descriptive language.
What does Diane Lehman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Diane Lehman's narration brings the book to life. She is a talented narrator with different voices for each of the characters.
Any additional comments?
I love how Amelia is smart and capable and how Rick is the good-looking skilled defender. A couple times, however, I was frustrated that Amelia seemed a little helpless and naive, which seemed out of character for the savvy detective I had pictured. I found myself wanting her to have her own set of self-defense skills or gun expertise or something that sets her apart as her own force to be reckoned with. Linda Weaver Clarke is an accomplished writer and I hope there are many more books in the Amelia Moore series to come.
