Historia
Casey Fletcher, a recently widowed actress trying to escape a streak of bad press, has retreated to the peace and quiet of her family’s lake house in Vermont. Armed with a pair of binoculars and several bottles of bourbon, she passes the time watching Tom and Katherine Royce, the glamorous couple living in the house across the lake. They make for good viewing—a tech innovator, Tom is powerful; and a former model, Katherine is gorgeous.

Narrator is not it, story was good.
Revisado: 05-09-24
story was twisty and interesting, I can't really think of anything I particularly disliked about it. I do, however, have an issue with the Narrator, her voice is relaxing but she is a bed fit for this book. I always find Narrators have a strong effect on my opinion of the book and this narrator took me out a bit.

I truly enjoyed this book and don’t really have any critique, all in all a good read. I actually bought this book last year and listened to a few minutes of it, but did not enjoy so I returned it; this year, I was looking for a new book and found nothing I was interested in, so , I decided to try ‘Princess of the Midnight ball’ again and I’m so glad I did! I finished the book in one day. Definitely a series worth reading of you enjoy fantasy.

I’m a teenager but I love these poems! I recently rediscovered the Winnie the Pooh books and I’ve been in love with them since. The narrators voice is very relaxing and so is the piano played before each poem.

Weird and creepy. Features witchcraft themes . Not appropriate. I thought I’d try it out because of the good reviews but I regret it! Don’t waste your money

Historia
Alice is different than other 18-year-old ladies in Kexford, which is perfectly fine with her. She’d rather spend golden afternoons with her trusty camera or in her aunt Vivian’s lively salon, ignoring her sister’s wishes that she stop all that “nonsense” and become a “respectable” member of society. Alice is happy to meander to Miss. Yao’s teashop or to visit the children playing in the Square. She’s also interested in learning more about the young lawyer she met there, but just because she’s curious, of course, not because he was sweet and charming.

Just too modern
Revisado: 04-17-23
I’m only three chapters in and I’m already seeing problems with this story. I decided to try it since it got good reviews from people who are fans of Alice in wonderland. It definitely isn’t bad it just not as good as the reviews said. A lot of modern language and attitudes. Alice is pretty immature for an 18 year old at that time period, she is also very contradictory; for example she mentions being annoyed by her sisters lack of fashion sense multiple times but exalts her aunt for her the same thing? Maybe I’m just misunderstanding but it seemed really odd to me. I didn’t really like the character of the aunt she seemed very forced and was kind of obnoxious. Again I haven’t listened to much yet but seems like an interesting story that is slightly marred by some modern language and attitudes.

The Mother-Daughter Book Club is back! This year the mothers have a big surprise in store for Emma, Jess, Cassidy, and Megan: They've invited snooty Becca Chadwick and her mother to join the book club! But there are bigger problems when Jess finds out that her family may have to give up Half Moon Farm. Really enjoyed this book
Revisado: 02-13-23
I thought this book was pretty good, better then the first in this series in fact. And I loved the narrators. Character development was pretty realistic, which I appreciated. In the first book, occasionally the girls especially Cassidy would be honestly pretty rude to Becca, I mean I get that she’s a mean girl and all, and even there PARENTS joined in (once at the end of the book) but it seemed pretty childish and their parents didn’t really do anything about it, I was super happy that they addressed that in this book. Just a warning, the events in this book can be a bit unrealistic but it’s really not that bad. I thought that I would not like these books but I’m so glad I gave them a try there pretty good so I definitely recommend. If you enjoyed the first book you’ll probably like this one as much if not more. Lots of loose ends from the first book are tied up in this. Overall this is a great book that seems to be pretty underrated so I give it 5 stars.
