I was really looking forward to a new book from Freida McFadden but this one sort of left me wanting more. Typical unintelligent main character, the twist was kind of far fetched, and the ending was just meh.

Well, that happened

What did I just listen to lol. It’s like smutty Dexter. I’m having trouble rating this, there is so much to it. The romance is there, it’s extremely gory, verrrrryy graphic. The problem I had most with it is Sloan! She’s a serial killer for godsake. Rowen treats her like a fragile girly girl. And sometimes she submits to it but idk, after the meet cute she doesn’t turn out to be the MFC I expected her to be. 3.5 stars, I enjoyed it but I’d feel odd recommending it to friends. This is a guilty pleasure.

I bought this one without realizing the MFC was 18. As a 33 year old, I prefer main characters within my age range. That said, the story was cute enough for me to finish it. Wouldn’t write home about it but it was fine for background noise.

WHY IS THIS WHOLE BOOK YELLING AT ME

I wasn’t a huge fan of the first book but I wanted to see what happened. It took me forever to finally finish this one. With the constant yelling at the fact that only 20 year olds know how to save the world, it just isn’t for me. I tried, but won’t be continuing this series.

This one was included in my audible membership so I can’t be too harsh on it. Story was decent, dragged on a little. This narrator was awwwwfuuullll. It felt like I was listening to AI or someone in HR read the phone book. I had to listen to it 1.25x to get through it.

I listened to this after the housemaid which I think aided in me not falling for some of the twists but I was never 100% sure which way it was going to go. Definitely enjoyed the ride!
