An exciting and unique take on the genre!

I decided to check this out out of curiosity once I hard there was an anime adaptation on its way. I'm glad I did because, once I got past chapter 2, I was completely hooked on this and had to keep listening. Personally, I could have gone without some of the uses of onomatopoeias, which are frequent throughout. But it didn't take away from any of the enjoyment I got out of this.
Will be continuing on to volume 2!

As a long time fan of SaO, it was extremely surprising to me to press play on this title and hear Asuna start narrating. Even more so to hear Kirito at the final chapter.
Content wise, there's nothing exactly new here. Not always a bad thing though, as this series has proven. We saw all of this in the anime, but in this format we are privy to the characters inner thoughts and feelings which was very enriching to the familiar stories. This time around I did enjoy The Temperature of the Heart story and I felt more strongly the connection Asuna and Kirito had with Yui.

What A Joy To Listen To

I loved everything about this story. I've recently discovered the LitRPG genre and real world consequences of in-game actions is something I'm really intrigued by. Saga Online felt like such an enormous game and it's extremely dedicated player base of skilled streamers and noobs alike was one of my favorite parts of this. I really enjoyed learning the Occultist class with Demion. Can't wait to start book 2!

What A Story!

Tom Hollander really brought these characters to life with his narration. It was such a joy to listen to another story from the same mind that introduced me to a love of reading. She'll probably always be most known for writing children's books, but this was a clear example that she's just a capable of writing adult books as well. I could go on and on about how good this book was, but I'll just say that I loved it and I wish I had got to this one sooner.

This was my first Riley Sager book. The narrator for this was spot on! I can't believe just how cleverly this story was written. Kept me guessing the whole time exactly what was actually happening versus what Charlie thought was happening. This was a fantastic book and I'm definitely a Riley Sager fan now!

In some ways this one felt similar to Black Water. Bobby struggles again with following the rules of being a Traveler versus Saint Danes rules. This one wrapped up very nicely though but there's this feeling that not everything is the way it seems. Which is exactly how Saint Dane does things.

Maaaaaan, this book was a real rollercoaster of emotions. So much action and humor and heartbreak and alot of scary situations for Bobby courtesy of Saint Dane. Probably the biggest growth of Bobbys character so far. Especially at the end you can really tell how much he has grown up and changed. Hoby ho, on to book 8!
